1 <br />Approval of the definitive plan for Centre Estates subdivision was <br />considered and draft of a Certificate of Action was reviewed. Upon a <br />motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />That the Lexington Planning Board, acting within the provisions of <br />the General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 81U, has this day approved the <br />definitive subdivision plan entitled "Centre Estates in Lexington, <br />Mass.", dated October 18, 1974, by Miller & Nylander, Civil Engineers <br />and Surveyors, Moore Homes Inc., applicant; subject to terms and con- <br />ditions of a Covenant to be given as provided in said Section 81-U and <br />subject to the following terms and conditions imposed by the Lexington <br />Planning Board at the time of approval: <br />1. The developer shall construct ways to provide access and install <br />municipal services to serve all lots in this subdivision. All con- <br />struction and installation shall conform to the Rules and Regulations <br />Governing the Subdivision of Land in Lexington, Mass. <br />2. The way on this plan shall be known as Lois Lane. <br />3. The Planning Board waives the requirement for installation of side- <br />walks as stated in Section 7.3.5 of the Rules and Regulations Govern- <br />ing the Subdivision of Land in Lexington, Mass. <br />4. The Planning Board waives the maximum requirement for a dead-end <br />street of 650 feet in Section 6.5.6 and agrees to allow a cul-de-sac <br />to be built to a length of 957.45 feet. <br />5. Underground installation of utilities, particularly electric and <br />telephone, shall be required, with foundations for street lights with <br />wiring in place. <br />6. A set of as -built plans of the subdivision streets and utilities <br />must be submitted to the Engineering Department prior to the final <br />release of surety. <br />7. Final contours shall be substantially_ the same as shown on the <br />final contour plan. <br />CENTRE EST. <br />SUBD. APPROVAL <br />CERT. OF ACT.' <br />Mr. Costello abstained from voting because of apparent or possible confusion <br />with regard to the name of the street. <br />Memo from the Board of Selectmen, dated Dec. 31, 1974, regarding ex MUZZEY CORP., <br />tension to June 30, 1975, on the option to purchase land owned by the LAND OPTION, <br />Muzzey Corp., was noted. Draft letter by Mrs. Brown, replying to the PKC. LOT EXT. <br />Selectmen's request for comment on extending the Town's option on land <br />at the rear of 24 Muzzey Street., was reviewed. The letter was approved <br />as written. <br />Mr. Briggs explained the request of Alden Webster, North Street, to pur- WEBSTER,NORTH <br />chase a strip of Town -owned land abutting his property, for use as a ST.LAND PURCH. <br />driveway, and Mr. McSweeney's recommendation to allow the purchase but <br />keep an easement over the land as access to the Town -owned North St. <br />gravel pits.
