1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />November 25, 1974 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />by the chairman Dr. Clarke, with members S. Brown, L. Brown, Costello, <br />MacKenzie, and planning director Briggs, secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also <br />in attendance were Richard Magnuson, DAC, and Rosemary O'Leary, Lexington <br />Minute -Man. <br />The members discussed requests for funds to <br />ations Committee later in the evening. He will be <br />working 20 hours/week in the planning office until June, and full-time <br />during the summer months. <br />Dr. Clarke informed the members of a meeting of the School Committee with SCHOOL COMM. <br />other Town boards and committees, scheduled for December 11, at S p.m. NEEDS STUDY <br />in Cary Hall, for discussion of future school needs as outlined in a <br />study by Drummey, Rosane and Anderson. Copy of the study will be circul- <br />ated among the members for review. <br />Announcement of a meeting of the Hanscom Field Task Force on November 26, <br />was noted. Due to a previous commitment of the Planning Board to meet <br />with the Conservation Commission on that date, no members will attend the <br />Hanscom meeting. <br />Letter from Wayne Barbour, Creative Environments, Inc., stating his in- BARBOUR <br />tention to construct subsidized housing on the site of his previous un- SUBSIDIZED <br />successful rezoning proposal, was noted. Mr. Briggs recapped densities HOUSING <br />proposed in 1973 and 1974 by Mr. Barbour for the parcel. Because of <br />lower density proposed in March, 1974, as compared with his current pro- <br />posal, it was suggested that the Planning Board could initiate a rezoning <br />article (to RD) for the parcel, if Mr. Barber were willing to develop his <br />earlier plan. A majority of the members expressed opposition to such <br />action by the Planning Board. <br />A plan submitted by Richard Koplow for Temple Isaiah, with Application FORM A74-34 <br />Form A74-34, to define boundary of the Lincoln St. property, was reviewed.TEMPLE ISAIAH <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated Nov.12, <br />1974, by Miller & Nylander, submitted on November 22, 1974, by Richard <br />Koplow, with Application Form A74-34, requires no approval under the <br />Subdivision Control Law. <br />The plan was so endorsed by members of the Board. <br />
