1 <br />J <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />December 26, 1973 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at <br />7:30 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members L. Brown, S. Brown, <br />Graham, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also <br />in attendance was Frank Sandy, CLC. <br />The meeting opened with discussion of wording and content of the Planning <br />Board initiated RD rezoning article. RD ARTICLE <br />The minutes of PlanningBoard meeting of December 10, 1973, were approved MINUTES 12/10 <br />as written. <br />Request from Harvey Duffy, Partridge Assoc., Dec. 19, 1973, for release PARTRIDGE <br />of surety on Philip Rd., was read by the chairman. Mr. Duffy's previous ASSOC.DUFFY <br />request (July'73) on the same matter, which inadvertently had not been BOND RELEASE <br />responded to, was noted. Mr. Briggs will request Engineering Dept. review <br />and recommendations on conditions at Philip Rd., and Mr. Duffy will be <br />advised of forthcoming action on his request. <br />Letter from Fred E. Sateriale, Sateriale & Prelack, Inc., dated Nov.27, <br />1973, requesting reduction of surety for Oak Park II subdivision, and <br />Engineering Dept. itemized recommendation of amount necessary for com- <br />pletion of work were reviewed. Consideration of reduction of collateral <br />was deferred pending investigation of exact amount currently held by the <br />Town, and conference with Mr. Sateriale on the matter of sidewalk in- <br />stallation waiver and incomplete work items at the subdivision. <br />Plans for the Douglass Office Bldg. (B/A F&D hearing, Jan. 8) were re- <br />viewed. Prior similar petition (1970) was noted and Planning Board let- <br />ter of recommendations at that time was read by the chairman. Following <br />discussion of proposed contours and parking provisions, it was decided <br />that the planning director will draft a letter recommending denial of the <br />petition because of inadequate parking area. <br />SATERIALE <br />OAK PARK II <br />BOND REDUC. <br />DOUGLASS BLDG. <br />B/AF&D1/8 <br />Copy of a letter from Mr. Peter Martiniak, Waltham St., dated Dec. S, EXCESSIVE <br />1973, to the Lexington Housing Authority, complaining of excessive light-LIGHTING,L.H.A <br />ing at Vynebrook Housing for the Elderly, was noted. VYNEBROOKE <br />A letter from the Recreation Committee supporting land acquisition on HILLSIDE AVE <br />"Hillside Avenue" was noted. The Board reaffirmed its position as statedLAND ACQUIS. <br />in Mrs. Brown's memo of Oct. 17, 1973. <br />Dr. Clarke reported on his conference with Chairman Kenney, Bd. of Sel. RAMP INSTALL. <br />re the ramp installation Article initiated by Herbert Eisenberg, and ARTICLE <br />understanding that the Selectmen willsubmit subject matter in the <br />Article in combination with a similar proposal for general sidewalk con- <br />struction. A letter confirming this conversation will be sent to <br />Mr. Kenney. <br />
