PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />December 17, 1973 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />by the chairman Dr. Clarke, with members Costello, S. Brown, L. Brown, <br />planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in <br />attendance were J. Davies, DAC, Mary Sepucha, LWV, F. Sandy, and Pat Hoff- <br />man, Citizens' Committee on Zoning By -Law Revision. <br />Messrs. Theodore Freeman, Jonathan Frost, Kerrie Realty Trust, and Wil- BICENTENNIAL <br />bur Nylander, Engineer, were present to discuss with the Board prelimin- ESTATES <br />ary plans for land at Cary Avenue (Kelley Horse Farm). Mr. Freeman spoke <br />of sewer provisions, plans for brook relocation and a holding pond to be <br />constructed. Waivers will be asked for reduced pavement width, for ad- <br />ditional length of a cul-de-sac, and for reduced diameter of the turning <br />circle. Discussion of Planning Board view on excessive cul-de-sac length <br />followed and Mr. Briggs was asked to research various sources for stan- <br />dards. <br />Mark Moore, ,Chas. Spaulding, Spaulding & Slye, Roe P. Hendrick, Traffic DRUMMER BOY <br />Engr.,, Kenneth DeMay, Sasaki, Dawson & DeMay, met with the Board at <br />8:05 p.m. to present plans for Drummer Boy Green condominium development. <br />A descriptive brochure was distributed and portions of it were read aloud <br />by Mr. Moore. A rendering of units was shown by Mr. DeMay and architec- <br />tural features explained. Density figures, price range, wetland to be <br />set aside for conservation, access plans, existing and projected traffic <br />figures were presented. Mr. Hendrick commented on his report which is <br />contained in the brochure, and a resume of soils and drainage study was <br />' given. A summary of alternate uses of the site was presented by <br />Mr. Spaulding. Roof and open space, driveway area and Conservation land <br />area amounts were noted, and a projection of the number of schoolchildren, <br />parking provisions, and maintenance arreangements were discussed. Planning <br />Board initiated Article for amendment to the Zoning By-law (RD multi- <br />family district) was noted. Questions from the Board and others in atten- <br />dance followed. <br />Plan submitted by Wilbur Nylander with Application Form A73-39, showing FORM A73-39 <br />land of the Scottish Rite Masons at Marrett Rd. was reviewed by the SCOTTISH RITE <br />Board. Planning Board correspondence at the time of Board of Appeals MASONS <br />hearing in 1971, and B/A permit were reviewed. Upon a motion duly made MARRETT RD. <br />and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />The plan submitted on December 17, 1973, by Wilbur C. Nylander, Engr. <br />for the Supreme Council of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Free <br />Masonry, with Appl. Form A73-39, showing Lots A and B on Marrett Rd., <br />requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. <br />Endorsement of the plan, to be completed by the Planning Director on <br />behalf of the Planning Board, is conditional upon addition of a notation: <br />"See Board of Appeals permit issued on October 5, 1971." <br />The minutes of Planning Board meeting of Dec. 3. 1973, were approved as MINUTES 12/3/73 <br />written. <br />u <br />
