PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />October 29, 1973 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at <br />7:35 p.m. by the chairman Dr. Clarke with members L. Brown, S. Brown, <br />Graham, planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also <br />in attendance were Gary Marshall, DAC, Gary Larson, Conservation Comm. <br />Mary Sepucha, LWV, Frank Sandy, CLC, and Cheryl Waixel, Lexington Min. -Man. <br />The minutes of Planning Board meeting of October 9, 1973, were approved <br />as written. MINUTES 10/9 <br />The minutes of Planning Board meeting of October 15, 1973, were 10/15/73 <br />approved as corrected. <br />Draft by Mr. Briggs of a letter concerning the Mass. R&W petition to MASS R&W F & <br />the B/A for finding & determination (hearing 10/30) was reviewed and <br />was approved as presented. <br />Dr. Clarke read his draft of a letter to the Appeals Board recommend- OSTROFF B/A <br />ing denial of the Ostroff petition (hearing 10/30). It was voted that <br />the letter be approved as written. <br />Request of Oneida Corp. for extension to April 30, 1974, of time within DRUMMER BOY <br />which the Planning Board must act on the definitive plan for Drummer EXTENSION <br />Boy subdivision, was noted. Formation of a Planning Board policy res- <br />tricting repeated extensions was discussed. Upon a motion duly made and <br />seconded, it was VOTED: <br />To extend to November 27, 1974, inclusive, the time within which the <br />Planning Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan entitled <br />"Drummer Boy, Lexington, Mass.", dated August 18, 19690 by Joseph W. <br />Moore Co., Inc. <br />The Town Clerk will be notified of this action and Mr. Briggs was in- <br />structed to inform the developer of possible Planning Board disapproval <br />of the subdivision. <br />Dr. Clarke informed the Board of a letter, dated Sept. 18, received BELFRY <br />from Donald Thomas, President of the Belfry Hill Neighborhood Assoc., ASSOC. <br />in which the Planning Board was requested to support the association HANCOCK <br />in its effort to preserve Hancock School and the general character of <br />the neighborhood. Dr. Clarke's draft in response was read and was <br />approved as written. <br />HILL <br />SCHOOL <br />At 8 p.m., Ralph Cataldo met with the Board by appointment to explain CATALDO B/A <br />a proposed Form A plan, based on a B/A variance obtained by Malcolm MASS.AVE., <br />Keljikian concerning land owned by Mr. Cataldo at Mass. Ave. and Bow BOW STREET <br />St. Need for addition of a notation and identification of the parcel FORM A73-31 <br />was discussed. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />The plan submitted with Appl. Form A73-31, by Ralph D. Cataldo on <br />October 29, 1973, entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass., dated <br />' October 1973, by John J. Sullivan, showing Parcel X. at Mass Ave. <br />and Bow St. requires no approval under Subdivision Control Law. <br />The vote was conditional upon addition to the plan of a notation <br />"Parcel X is not a building lot in accordance with current Town of <br />Lexington By -Laws", and upon identification on the plan of Parcel X. <br />
