PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />April 30, 1,111 <br />' The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order by the <br />chairman Mrs. Brown with members Costello, Clarke, planning director Briggs <br />and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were Mr. Robert Bowyer, <br />DAC, Kenneth Kreutziger, DAC, Frank Sandy, CLC and Cheryl Waixel, Lexington <br />Minute -Man. <br />An instrument prepared by the Town Counsel for release of lots 15-20, in- IDYLWILDE <br />clusive, and 22-27 inclusive, in Idylwilde Farms subdivision was reviewed.RELEASE OF LOTS <br />The release was signed by a majority of the Board and Mrs. Brown's signa- <br />ture notarized by Mr. Costello. <br />The Board reviewed a request by Barry Solar, Esq., on behalf of C-R Trust, <br />dated April 24, 1973, for extension of time on C-R Trust subdivision. Upon <br />a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: C-R TRUST <br />To extend to June 30, 1973, inclusive, the time within which the EXTENSION <br />Lexington Planning Board must act on the preliminary subdivision plan <br />entitled "Preliminary Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass., Property of C-R <br />Trust", dated January 26, 1973. <br />The Town Clerk will be informed of this action of the Board. <br />The Planning Board and Mr. Bowyer met with the Board of Selectmen at 8 p.mRED LINE <br />for discussion of the Lexington position on extension of the Red Line EXTENSION <br />' through Lexington to Rte.128. A letter from Mr. Bowyer to the Selectmen <br />and to the Planning Board, dated April 26, 1973, was read in part with re- <br />gard to implications to the Town of the rapid transit extension, and devel- <br />opment of design criteria and negotiating strategy. It was decided that an <br />investigating committee will be formed consisting of 6 DAC members and one <br />member each from the Planning Board and the Board of Selectmen. The Select- <br />men will communicate with Sec. Altshuler, D.O.T., informing him of formation <br />and purpose of the investigating committee and plans for Lexington's prelimin- <br />ary position statement. <br />It was noted that a Hatch Act hearing on Springdale Estates subdivision willSPRINGDALEbe held on May 8, 1973, at 8 p.m. Mrs. Brown will make an effort to attend. HATCH ACT <br />At 8:45 p.m., upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />To go into executive session for discussion of matters the disclosure EXEC. SESSION <br />of which could adversely affect the financial interests of the Town or <br />the reputation of any person. <br />Following discussioncf correspondence fromthe Town Counsel regarding sub- SUBDIVISION <br />division streets, it was voted to resume open session at 9:20 p.m. STREETS <br />Mr. John Tuttle, proponent of Willow Ridge subdivision, met with the Board <br />for discussion of design of access to the subdivision. Eight residents of WILLOW RIDGE <br />the area were also present.. Excessive length of the proposed cul-de-sac SUBDIVISION <br />as shown on the preliminary plan was discussed and those members present <br />indicated disfavor with the subdivision plan on that basis. Town Engineer's <br />letter of comments on the plans, dated April 11, 1973, was read. Reference <br />was made to an alternate access design over a Town Easement at the end of <br />Goffe Rd. Planning Board files will be researched to find reference to the <br />easement as described by Mr. Tuttle, following which further discussion <br />
