Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: <br />' The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", by John J. <br />Sullivan, submitted on April 13, 1973, by Francis W. K. Smith, <br />showing Lots "0 and P" at Reed and Bedford streets, requires n6 <br />approval under the Subdivision Control Law. <br />The plan was so endorsed by members of the Board. <br />Announcement of the Mass. Federation of Planning Boards conference to be MFPB CONFERENCE <br />held on May 11 and 12 in Newton and program were noted. It was agreed to 5/11 & 12/73 <br />request of the Town Manager that the registration fees for the planning <br />director and planning intern for the 5/12 seminar be paid from the in-state <br />travel account. Dr. Clarke and Mrs. Brown also plan to attend on May 12. <br />Preliminary plans for Willow Ridge subdivision were reviewed by the WILLOW RIDGE <br />Board. Connection of the proposed subdivsiion cul-de-sac to a private SUBDIVISION <br />way (Wellington La.) and alternative aecess design from Goffe Rd. were <br />discussed. Town Counsel will be consulted as to approval of a subdivision <br />with respect to inadequate connecting streets. A letter from the Town Engr., <br />dated 4/11/73, containing recommended revisions of certain aspects of the <br />plan was read in part. Discussion is to be continued, with Mr. John Tuttle, <br />developer, at the April 23rd meeting of the Board. <br />A draft by Mr. Briggs of Planning Board request to the Town Counsel for <br />further investigation of details of the proposed Battleview subdivision was <br />I <br />reviewed and, following revision, the letter was approved. BATTLEVIEW <br />SUBDIVISION <br />Letter from Town Counsel, dated April 11, 1973, with opinion as to status AARON,JEAN, <br />and buildability of lots at Aaron Rd. was reviewed. Copy of this letter, MORGAN RDS. <br />with a cover letter to be prepared by Mrs. Brown, will be sent to Mr. & Mrs. <br />Grammont, owners of Lots 9 and 8B on Aaron Rd. Copies of the Building <br />Inspector's letter of March 23, 1973, on the subject will also be included. <br />Mr. Graham reported on progress of Bicentennial planning and suggested that <br />Planning Board staff be commissioned to inventory Town resources with BICENTENNIAL <br />respect to 1975-76 needs and develop contacts with those involved in State <br />Bicentennial planning so as to be informed of meetings and any available <br />Federal or State planning assistance to Lexington. <br />A memorandum from Mr. Briggs, dated April 12, 1973, explaining source of TEMPORARY <br />funds for salary of a temporary typist was reviewed and it was voted to a OFFICE STAFF <br />authorize hiring of a typist as recommended by the planning director and <br />approved by the Town Manager. <br />A letter to the Planning Board from Spaulding & Slye, proponents of DRUMMER BOY <br />"Drummer Boy Green" condominium development, dated April 13, 1973, announ-SPAULDING&SLYE <br />cing thiir decision to sell the#r Lexington interests and expressing thanks <br />for Planning Board cooperation, was noted. <br />Board of Appeals notices of hearings to be held on April 24, 1973, were B/A HEARINGS <br />noted and Mrs. Brown's memo concerning the Manickas petition (addition to APRIL 24,1973 <br />building) and Bottos (pizza house) petition was reviewed.
