1 <br />1 <br />Letters of appreciation for offers of gifts of land to the Town by <br />Mrs. Tarbox and by Bolt, Beranek & Newman were sent by Mr. Cataldo <br />and contents noted by the Board. <br />A memorandum from Mr. O'Connell regarding the availability of 3 <br />conference rooms in the Town Office Building was read and explained <br />by the planning director. <br />3 <br />GIFTS OF LAND <br />BB&N/TARBOX <br />CONFERENCE RMS. <br />T. OFFICE BLDG. <br />A draft of a letter to the Conservation Commission containing the PL. BD. POLICY <br />Planning Board's policy statement regarding land acquisition for con- LAND ACQ. <br />servation was read to those present by Mrs. Brown. Several changes and CONSERVATION <br />revisions were suggested by members to be made before the Planning <br />Board meeting on Nov. 3, and the letter tentatively approved subject to <br />these changes. Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED: <br />To go into executive session to discuss matters the disclosure EXECUTIVE SESS. <br />of which could adversely affect the financial interest of the Town LAND ACQ.,CONS. <br />or the reputation of any person. <br />Following a discussion of land acquisition for conservation it was <br />voted to resume open session. <br />The minutes of the Conservation Commission meetings of Sept.27, Oct.4, CONS.COMM. <br />11, and 18, 1971, and the minutes of the Selectmen's meetings of MINUTES <br />August 16, 1971, and October 18, 1971, which were received in the SELECTMEN°S <br />office of the Planning Board were noted. MINUTES <br />A plan submitted by Mr. George Baldwin showing land on Adams St. with ENDORSEMENT <br />the area and frontage required by the Zoning By -Law, was reviewed by A71-23 <br />the Board. Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED: ADAMS ST. <br />The plan entitled "Plan of Land, Lexington, Mass.", dated Oct. 28, <br />1971, submitted by George Baldwin, on Oct. 29, 1971, with Appli- <br />cation Form A71-23, by Henry F. Bryant & Sons Inc. showing land on <br />Adams St. requires no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. <br />Four members voted in favor and Mr. Costello abstained. <br />The plan was so endorsed by those members who voted in favor. <br />Mrs. Brown reported that she had received a letter regarding the re- BURL. LINE <br />moval of gravel at the Lexington/Burlington line from the Town Manager GRAVEL REMOVAL <br />in response to her verbal inquiry. <br />The -meeting adjourned at 11:00 p.m. <br />'l't <br />Donald M.
