PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />September 27, 1971 <br />' The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />by the Chairman, Mrs. Brown with members Clarke, Costello, planning director <br />Zaleski and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance were Mr. Sandy <br />of C.L.C., Mr. Curran of the Lexington Minute -Man and Mr. Pierce, Design <br />Advisory Committee. <br />Mrs. Brown reported on the Planning Board meeting on Sunday, Sept. 26, 1971, <br />which included a visit to Ingleside subdivision and Carnegie Place. <br />A letter from Mr. Gibson, Sr. High School, was read and discussed. Mrs. STUDENT ATTEND - <br />Brown has agreed to telephone Mr. Gibson to discuss his request to allow ANCE PLANNING <br />the attendance of students at Planning Board meetings. BD. MEETINGS <br />Mr, and Mrs. Robert Colbourne, Dr. John Bergmeyer and Mr. Charles Hagenah MOUNTAIN RD. <br />met with the Planning Board by appointment to discuss the proposed plan to'-COLBOURNE <br />improve Mountain Rd. A preliminary plan for access by Mr. Colbourne was <br />examined and compared with a suggested plan drawn by Mr. Zaleski and al- <br />ternate turnaround plans were discussed. Mr. Colbourne will submit a <br />definitive plan of the access road and a public hearing will be held before <br />a Planning Board decision is made. <br />Mr. Otis Brown, developer of Battle Green Office Park on Militia Dr. met BATTLE GREEN <br />with the Board by invitation at 8:00 p.m. to discuss plans for completion OFFICE PARK <br />of this overdue subdivision. Paving of a cul-de-sac and Edison installa- <br />tions to complete a portion of the subdivision were discussed, as well as <br />alternate pla s for the remaining 3 unbuilt lots. Mr. Brown, Mr. Douglass <br />and Mr. Sparr, owners of the land, will confer and the Planning Board will <br />be informed iwa written statement of their intentions for the completion of <br />the turnaround in front of these 3 lots. <br />Mr. Lund joined the meeting at this time. <br />The Board discussed the revised plan submitted by John Hinchcliffe with the <br />application Form A71 -15B, showing lots at the junction of Washington and FORM A71 -15B <br />Warren streets. WASHINGTON & <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED: WARREN STS. <br />The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated Sept. 21, <br />19719 by Miller & Nylander, requires no approval under the Subdivision <br />Control Law. <br />The plan was so endorsed by members of the Board. <br />Mr. Costello requested that the plan of this land previously submitted by <br />Mr. Hinchcliffe with Form A71-15 which had been endorsed by the Board be <br />returned to the Board, if possible. <br />The Conservation Commission met with'the Planning Board by appointment at CONSERVATION <br />8:55 p.m. In attendance were members Kassler, Frick, Rawls, Cohen, COMMISSION <br />Chairman, Mr. Brown, Assoc. members Friedman, Solomon, Nichols and Smith, <br />' secretary Mrs. Greene and Mr. Paul Mazerall. <br />There was a discussion of the Ballou land which is being acquired by the BALLOU LAND USE <br />Town for conservation. It was agreed that no proposals are under con- <br />sideration for active recreation use for any of this land. <br />
