3 <br />' Donahue, 1531 Mass. Ave., Arlington, re. permit for portion of free BD. OF APP. <br />standing sign in Lexington. HEARINGS <br />Old Lexington Restaurant, Inc., 1733 Mass. Ave., re. permit for 2 signs. (CONY D) <br />Scottish Rite Masons request for permission to erect new facilities at <br />1162 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington. <br />The above hearings will be held on October 5, 1971. <br />No comment was made by members on the first four petitions. <br />After some discussion it was agreed to postpone decision on comments <br />relative to the proposed Masonic complex to Sept. 27. Mr. Pierce stated that <br />DAC recommends favorable consideration of the Scottish Rite proposal. He <br />also recommended that on large and complex non-residential projects the <br />HDC procedure of requiring detailed plans be modified because of the ex- <br />cessively high cost of preparing detailed plans at a preliminary stage. <br />Mr. Costello reported on the SILC meeting on Sept. 16, regarding the SILC MTG. <br />status of the Urban Development Corporation legislation. 10/6/71 <br />A memorandum from the Town Manager relative to the procedure for capital CAPITAL <br />projects requests for 1972 was noted. <br />PROJECTS <br />Notice of a meeting ofthe Recreation Committee on Thursday, September 23, RECREATION <br />1971, at 8:00 p.m. in the School Administration building and its agenda COMM.
