PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />September 8, 1971 <br />' The meeting of the Lexington PlanningBoard was called to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />by the chairman, Mrs. Brown with memers Lund, Graham, Costello and Clarke, <br />planning director Zaleski, planning intern Fennessey and secretary Mrs. Snow <br />present. Also in attendance were Messrs. Frank Sandy of the C.L.C., Thomas <br />Curran of the Lexington Minute -Man and Donald Olson of the D.A.C. <br />The minutes of August 30, 1971, were approved as written. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously VOTED: EXTENSION <br />To extend to November 4, 1971, inclusive, the time for Planning Board IDYLWILDE <br />action on the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Idylwilde", dated <br />December 29, 1969, as requested in writing by the applicant, Trustee <br />of JoJen Realty Trust. <br />A draft of a letter from the Planning Board to Mr. Ernest E. Outhet, re- <br />NICKERSON RD. <br />fusing release of bond on the Nickerson Rd. subdivision and referring to <br />RELEASE OF BOND <br />items not completed to the satisfaction of the Town Engineer was read. <br />REFUSED <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was voted to send the letter. <br />Mr. Lund abstained from voting. <br />A letter from the planning director to Mr. Harvey Duffy of Partridge <br />MIN.MAN HLDS IV <br />Assoc. regarding incomplete work in Minute Man Highlands IV subdivision <br />INCOMPLETE WORK <br />was read and will be sent. <br />' <br />Mr. John McSweeney, Town Engineer,and Mr. Jerry Martin, Asst. Town Engin- <br />SUBDIVISION <br />eer, met with the Board by invitation at 8:00 p.m. Mr. McSweeney discussed RULES <br />revision of Subdivision Rules, the increasing number of cul-de-sacs and the <br />maintenance problems involved with them, street design standards, and the <br />CUL-DE-SACS <br />width of streets in regard to safety factors and parking. <br />STREET DESIGN <br />Overdue subdivisions were reviewed and the status of each reported on by <br />OVERDUE SUB - <br />Mr. McSweeney. Mr. Alfred Tropeano and Mr. Otis Brown, developers of two <br />DIVISIONS <br />of these subdivisions will be invited to meet with the Planning Board to <br />inform the Board of their plans regarding work to be completed. <br />The drainage situation and the question of acceptance of roads in <br />INGLESIDE <br />Ingleside subdivision was reviewed. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF <br />ROADS <br />Mr. McSweeney reported that the Assessors Maps requested by the Planning <br />Board are being worked on in the Engineering Department. The photogram- <br />ASSESSORS MAPS <br />metric maps will be available in a few weeks and will be reproducible. <br />Mr. Walter O'Connell and Mr. McSweeney will be invited to attend the <br />MR. 0 CONNELL <br />Planning Board meeting on October 6, 1971, for a further discussion of <br />Mg MC SWEENEY <br />policy on overdue subdivisions and of Drummer Boy, Idylwilde and Vine <br />10/6/71 <br />Brook subdivisions. <br />Mr. McSweeney and Mr. Martin left the meeting at 9:45 p.m. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED: <br />' <br />Togo into executive session to discuss matters the disclosure of <br />EXECUTIVE <br />which could adversely affect the financial interest of the Town or <br />SESSION <br />the reputation of any person. <br />LAND ACQUIS. <br />
