It was agreed that the Concord committee for the Bicentennial plans should be BICENTENNIAL <br />contacted and an effort made to meet with them to discuss their progress in CONCORD COMM. <br />planning for this event which may be helpful to Lexington's committee and to <br />the Planning Board <br />Mr. Lund expressed the view that additional street furniture, such as benches,PARK BENCHES <br />would help make the center more attractive. <br />The question of recreation facilities in the Town was discussed. The 1966 RECREATION <br />Recreation Facilities map was examined and it was decided that the 1966 FACILITIES <br />report on recreation would not be used in the formulation of a new question- <br />naire on the subject. Mr. Fennessey will visit the various recreation and <br />open space areas in an effort to gain insight into the needs of the residents. <br />Continued dialogue with the Recreation Committee was advised and the attitude <br />survey on recreation questionnaire is to be re -drafted. Mr. Lund suggested <br />that Mr. Zaleski and Mr. Fennessey prepare a memo to the Planning Board out- <br />lining their assessment of the recreational needs, past performance and future <br />programs or activities for the Town. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:40 p.m. <br />1 <br />Donald M.
