PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 22, 1971 <br />Chairman Lund called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with members Clarke, <br />Graham, Costello and Mrs. Brown, planning director Zaleski and secretary <br />Mrs. Cole present. Also present was Mrs. Eric T. Clarke. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board unanimously VOTED: <br />To disapprove the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Drummer <br />Boy", August 18, 1969, revised to September 1, 1970, unless the <br />Board receives a request for the extension of time from Oneida <br />Corporation, applicant, in which event the Board will extend to <br />April 27, 1971, inclusive, the time within which the Planning <br />Board must act. Note: Request received on March 23 and time for <br />action was extended. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: <br />To extend to April 27, 1971, inclusive, the time for Planning <br />Board action on the definitive subdivision plan entitled <br />"Idylwilde", dated Dec. 29, 1969, as requested in writing by <br />the applicant, Trustee of JoJen Realty Trust. <br />The Board noted the letter from Jenkins Realty, Inc. requesting an <br />extension of time and stating that on October 2, 1970 title was passed <br />from Ernest W. Kitchen, Inc. to Jenkins Realty, Inc. for land off <br />Bates Rd. relating to the "Springdale Estates" subdivision. The deeds <br />to Jenkins Realty, Inc. are recorded as Certificate of Title Book 797, <br />' Page 65, No. 133415, Land Court Case No. 6686 and in Book 11899, Page <br />19 at the Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds. Upon the motion <br />duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: <br />To extend to April 4, 1972, inclusive, the time for Planning <br />Board action on the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Spring- <br />dale Estates", dated July 13, 1968. <br />The Board unanimously approved the letter drafted by Mrs. Brown to the <br />Board of Appeals recommending that the petition of Arthur Gaklis to <br />extend the hours of retail operation during the spring selling season, <br />and to add a portable cashier's booth, at 1265 Mass. Ave. be denied. <br />The Board unanimously approved the letter to the Board of Appeals <br />requesting that no action be taken on the petition of the Lexington <br />Housing Authority until the Planning Board has an opportunity to <br />review the layout and make a report and recommendations. <br />Mr. Emilio Spagnuola, treasurer of Kingston Homes, Inc. met with the <br />Board to discuss the drainage problem and a change in the layout of <br />the subdivision on Ingleside Rd. off Maple St. Mr. Spagnuola asked <br />whether it would be acceptable to the Board if the Ingleside subdivision <br />were revised so that Ingleside Rd. would terminate in a cul-de-sac near <br />the land of Benjamin Franklin Homes, rather than connect to it. He said <br />that under these circumstances Benjamin Franklin Homes would grant him <br />an easement to drain the low portion of the Ingleside subdivision into <br />the brook on the Benjamin Franklin Homes' land.
