PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />January 4, 1971 <br />Chairman Lund called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with members <br />Worrell, Graham, Clarke and Mrs. Brown, DAC representative L. Notkin, <br />and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />The minutes of December 21, 1970 were approved as submitted. 12/21 MINUTES <br />The minutes of December 28, 1970 were approved as amended. 12/28 MINUTES <br />The Planning Board report on Article 12, rezoning of Trinity Covenant ARTICLE 12, <br />Church land to RH subsidized housing district, was reviewed and approved SPECIAL <br />as amended. It was agreed to have 400-500 copies made for distribution TOWN <br />at League of Women Voters' precinct meetings (150 for Tuesday's meeting) MEETING <br />and for Town Meeting members at the Special Town Meeting, January 11. <br />The Board approved of Dr. Clarke's proposal to send a letter to Housing LETTERS TO <br />Agencies around Boston to obtain certain information on the numbers of HOUSING <br />children, dates of occupancy, etc., for subsidized developments and AGENCIES <br />suggested it be a form letter with a questionnaire attached to facilitate <br />getting the replies in the desired form. <br />It was agreed that the letter of transmittal to the Selectmen of eight ARTICLES <br />Planning Board articles for the Annual Town Meeting be revised to request TRANSMITTED <br />that the articles appear in the Warrant in the following sequence: TO SELECTMEN <br />H, I, J, K, L, A3, B2, Cl. <br />The two proposed letters, one to Mrs. James Carroll, the other to Mr. LETTERS TO <br />Gardner Ferguson of the Lexington Federal Savings and Loan Association, MRS. CARROLL <br />explaining the reason for the insertion of articles for the acquisition and <br />of their respective lots and reiterating the intent of the Planning MR. FERGUSON <br />Board to withdraw such articles if no agreement is reached, were dis- <br />cussed. The Chairman was authorized to send the letters. <br />The Board approved payment of the Massachusetts Federation of Planning MFPB DUES <br />Board's 1971 membership dues of $50. <br />The Board noted the copy of the Selectmen's letter dated December 30 to CURTIS K. <br />Mr. Arthur W. Brownell, Department of Natural Resources, re. Hatch Act PARKER <br />hearing, Curtis K. Parker, Woburn St., with copies of reports and letters WETLANDS <br />attached from the Planning Board, Conservation Commission, Public Health <br />Department and Town Engineer. The Selectmen made no further recommenda- <br />tions but urged that appropriate steps be taken to assure that no further <br />fill be added in that area, except for that needed to improve the appear- <br />ance and aid in establishment of vegetation, this to be made pursuant to <br />a plan to be approved by the DNR and the Town Engineer. <br />The letter of invitation from the TMMA to Mr. Lund to the January 6 TMMA <br />information meeting at the Science Lecture Hall of the Sr. High School INFORMATION <br />was noted by the Board. The meeting will be on Warrant Articles for MEETING <br />Special Town Meeting, but the primary topic to be covered will be the <br />proposed Jr. High School. Mr. Lund said that he plans to attend the <br />meeting. <br />Noted by the Board was the petition to the Planning Board to hold a public PETITION <br />hearing and submit final recommendations at the 1971 Annual Town Meeting BEDFORD ST. <br />on the citizen's petition to amend the zoning By -Law by rezoning to RH REZONING <br />
