7-2)8-58 <br />Mr. Mark Moore, Jr. of Moore Realty Trust <br />stated the proposed subdivision consisting of 21 lots <br />was an expansion of the Burnham Farms development to <br />Include most of the land between Vine Brook and the <br />Kendrick property on East Street. He pointed out that <br />he was building a culvert across Vine Brook as part <br />of the Section Two plan. He also noted that he had <br />options to purchase a portion of Kendrick and adja- <br />cent properties to provide a third section of his <br />development extending Thoreau Road from Its present ' <br />terminus on the Section Two plan to Lowell Street. <br />Members of the Board pointed out that in accordance <br />with a verbal agreement with Mr. Moore, he had re- <br />served a strip of land along Vine Brook and the <br />former North Street gravel pit, the Board obtaining <br />an option for the purchase of said strip as an <br />addition to a proposed town recreation area. <br />Mr. George S. Silk of Arlington asked about <br />the status of his subdivisions the former Vine Valley <br />Realty Trust land adjacent to the Burnham Farms, See. <br />1 development. He was informed that at the request of <br />said Trust the Planning Board has rexcinded in October <br />1955 its previous vote of approval, and that as a con- <br />sequences the subdivision no longer existed. Mr. Silk <br />also inquired about the Town's taking a strip of his <br />land along Vine Brook. Mr. Snow informed him that it <br />was not the Town's intention to make any taking of land <br />along Vine Brook, that the Board usually entered into <br />agreements for the purchase of property; and that in his <br />case it was not a necessity even though it might be de- <br />sirable that the Town own a strip along Vine Brook. <br />There being no further questions in regard to <br />the Subdivision plans an expression of opinion of those <br />attending the hearing was asked in regard to the plan. <br />Five indicated that they were in favor of approval of <br />under the Subdivision Control Law and that <br />said plans belso endorsed. <br />At 8:00 p.m. the Board held a public hearing , <br />BURNHAM <br />relative to the application of the Moore Realty Trust <br />FARMS <br />for approval of a subdivision to be known as 'Burn - <br />SEC. 2 <br />ham Farms Section Two Lexinatons Mass.", the plan <br />- <br />of said subdivision being dated April is 1958 and <br />MOORE <br />prepared by Albert A. Miller and Wilbur C. Nylanders <br />REALTY <br />Civil Engineers and Surveyors. There were five per - <br />TRUST <br />sons present at the hearing. The Chairman read the <br />notice of said hearing as it had been sent to all <br />property owners deemed to be affected and as it was, <br />published in the July 17s 1058 issue of the Lexington <br />Minute -man.
