1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />May 21, 1958 <br />A special meeting of the Lexington Planning <br />Board was held on Wednesdays May 211, 1958s at 7:00 <br />p.m. in the Board's offices Barnes Buildings to take <br />action on the Winchester Development Corp's appli- <br />cation for tentative approval of a preliminary sub- <br />division plan. Present were Chairman Grindle, <br />Members Abbott, Burnell, and Jaquiths and Planning <br />Director Snow. <br />Reviewed by the Board were pencil studies of <br />the proposed location of Emerson Road and several <br />schemes for the development of the Chapman, Tocci, <br />Smith and DeVries (Winchester Development Corp.) <br />lands in relation to said road. These were com- <br />pared with studies showing how lands abutting that <br />of the Winchester Development Corp. could be sub- <br />divided if said corporation's plan were extended <br />into said abutting lands. It was noted that some <br />sections of these lands could not be developed <br />economically or would have to be wasted if the <br />corporation's plan were carried out. Thereupon, <br />upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unan- <br />imously <br />VOTED : that the preliminary subdivision plan en- <br />titled "Sun Valley II Lexington, Mass."s <br />dated April 15s 1958s submitted to the <br />Board on ,April 21s 1958s be and hereby is <br />disapproved for the reason that the loca— <br />tion of the proposed streets do not connect <br />to the adjacent lands in a way which allows <br />them to be developed properly. <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. <br />Thomas S.
