i <br />PLANVING BOA -D HEARING <br />May 1, 1958 <br />The Lexington Planning Board held a Public <br />Hearing on May 1, 1958 at ?:50 p.m. in Cary Hall, <br />Cary Memorial Building to consider proposals to <br />amend the Lexington Zoning By-law so as to pro- <br />vide for an additional type of zoning district <br />to be designated C 4 - 'regional Shopping Center <br />Districts in accordance with the notice of the <br />hearing, copy of which is appended to the steno- <br />graphic record of the hearing. Present were <br />Chairman Grindle, Vice Chairman Jaquith, Members <br />Abbott, Burnell, and Soule, and Planning Director <br />Snow. At 9:00 p.m. Mr. Snow counted 422 persons <br />attending the hearing. <br />Chairman Grindle opened the hearing by <br />reading the first paragraph of the notice of the <br />hearing as it was published in the April 17, 1958 <br />issue of the Lexington Minute -man and stating <br />that the reading of the remainder of the notice <br />would be omitted. Copies of said notice were dis- <br />tributed at the hearing. <br />A complete stenographic record of the hear- <br />ing was taken and prepared for the Planning Board <br />by Philip H. and Lawrence W. Burt, shorthand re- <br />porters, 31 Milk Street, Boston 91 Mass. The 76 - <br />page typewritten report prepared by said reporters <br />and dated May 1, 1958 is incorporated in and made <br />a Dart of the minutes of this meetinm and the <br />nermanent records of the Planning Board. <br />The public hearin7 was adjourned at 10:15 <br />p.m. <br />PROPOSED <br />REGIONAL <br />SHOPPING <br />CENTER <br />DISTRICTS <br />J <br />ar H.
