Venne, Eng., said plan show - LAND ing the land the DeVries Construction Co.,Inc. proposed to give to the Town of Lexington, said land being located southeasterly of the Sun Valley development. Mr. Snow pointed out that the plan as drawn did not conform to the definitive sub- division plan of Section Fifteen of Sun Valley pre- viously approved by the Board, the Venne plan in- dicating that the Town was not to obtain land in one continuous parcel the highest point of land in the area, said point being called Mt. Orr. Mr. Snow also read to the Board its minutes of the. July 16 and August 131 1956 in regard to the acqui- sition of the land in question and showed to the Board some of the studies which had been made in connection with the approval of the Section Fifteen Sun Valley preliminary plan which reserved the top of Mt. Orr for use as an observation point. The Board instructed Mr. Snow to confer with Mr. DeVries in regard to the Venne plan to see if the Town could acquire all the land the Board understood it was to obtain from the 1956 studies. After discussing the various aspects of the road's location, connect;ons, points of access, maintenance, etc., it was decided that Mr. Gayer would write a letter to the District Office of the State Dept. of Public 'Works mention- ing various questions asked during said discussion and requesting that the Selectmen and Planning Board have a meeting with a representative of said office for the purpose of discussing various points of interest. At 10:00 p.m the Board left the Selectmen's meeting and with the exception of Messrs. Abbott and Soule returned to its meeting in the Town En- gi.neer's Room.
