suing the DeVries Construction Co., Inc. for <br />damages in connection with storm drainage. It was <br />decided that the Chairman would be served with <br />said summons. <br />PROPOSED <br />Discussed also with Mr. Stevens was a plan <br />SUN VALLEY <br />entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington Mass.", dated <br />RECREATION <br />Sept. 19571 Robert G. Venne, Eng., said plan show - <br />LAND <br />ing the land the DeVries Construction Co.,Inc. <br />proposed to give to the Town of Lexington, said <br />land being located southeasterly of the Sun Valley <br />development. Mr. Snow pointed out that the plan <br />as drawn did not conform to the definitive sub- <br />division plan of Section Fifteen of Sun Valley pre- <br />viously approved by the Board, the Venne plan in- <br />dicating that the Town was not to obtain land in <br />one continuous parcel the highest point of land in <br />the area, said point being called Mt. Orr. Mr. <br />Snow also read to the Board its minutes of the. <br />July 16 and August 131 1956 in regard to the acqui- <br />sition of the land in question and showed to the <br />Board some of the studies which had been made in <br />connection with the approval of the Section Fifteen <br />Sun Valley preliminary plan which reserved the top <br />of Mt. Orr for use as an observation point. The <br />Board instructed Mr. Snow to confer with Mr. DeVries <br />in regard to the Venne plan to see if the Town could <br />acquire all the land the Board understood it was to <br />obtain from the 1956 studies. <br />PROPOSED <br />Mr. Stevens left the meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br />WOOD TO <br />At the same time the Board, at the Selectmen's re - <br />BEDFORD <br />quest, met with them to discuss the proposed Wood - <br />STREET <br />to -Bedford Street road to be constructed w.th <br />ROAD <br />Federal funds. After discussing the various <br />aspects of the road's location, connect;ons, points <br />of access, maintenance, etc., it was decided that <br />Mr. Gayer would write a letter to the District <br />Office of the State Dept. of Public 'Works mention- <br />ing various questions asked during said discussion <br />and requesting that the Selectmen and Planning <br />Board have a meeting with a representative of said <br />office for the purpose of discussing various points <br />of interest. <br />At 10:00 p.m the Board left the Selectmen's <br />meeting and with the exception of Messrs. Abbott <br />and Soule returned to its meeting in the Town En- <br />gi.neer's Room. After discussing various matters <br />before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30. <br />eL 'vi G.
