Allen, Ferguson, Kelley and 'Jells of the Recrea- C,_MTTTEES tion Committee net in joint session with the Planning Bo -rd to discuss future school sites and lard needed for future recreation. Mr. Greeley reviewed the nro- gram of the School Sites Committee showing on a map the location of existing; and recommended sites for elementary and junior hip, -.h schools. He pointed out that the committee was working on the principle of providing on each school site land adaptable for a platy area. He stated that the size of each elementary school site was 10-12 acres with about 5-8 acres available for recreation use and that the si-e of each junior high school site was 25-30 acres W th apnroximately 1K-20 acres available for recreation pur- poses. It was decided that the Planning Board would meet with the Recreation Committee ar;ain to discuss the Board's recommendations for additional recreational areas.
