Allen, Ferguson, Kelley and 'Jells of the Recrea- <br />C,_MTTTEES <br />tion Committee net in joint session with the Planning <br />Bo -rd to discuss future school sites and lard needed <br />for future recreation. Mr. Greeley reviewed the nro- <br />gram of the School Sites Committee showing on a map the <br />location of existing; and recommended sites for elementary <br />and junior hip, -.h schools. He pointed out that the committee <br />was working on the principle of providing on each school <br />site land adaptable for a platy area. He stated that the <br />size of each elementary school site was 10-12 acres with <br />about 5-8 acres available for recreation use and that the <br />si-e of each junior high school site was 25-30 acres W th <br />apnroximately 1K-20 acres available for recreation pur- <br />poses. <br />It was decided that the Planning Board would meet <br />with the Recreation Committee ar;ain to discuss the Board's <br />recommendations for additional recreational areas. <br />Thereu-)on, the members of the two committees left the <br />meeting at 10:15 ~i.m. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. <br />Levi G.
