1-13-58 -2- <br />problem of determining an equitable arrangement , <br />BURNFAM wherein the Town could acquire for recreational <br />FARMS purposes a Dortion of the former Burnham Farm now <br />SFC. 2 owned by Mr. Mark Moore, Jr. and being developed by <br />him as a residential subdivision. (See minutes of <br />January 61 1958.) Using for comparative purposes <br />Mr. Moore's original preliminary plan, dated Jan. <br />30, 1957, and the Board's suggested scheme for the <br />second section of Burnham Farms, it was decided to <br />proceed as follows: (1) the Board, for option pur- <br />poses, would offer Mr. Moore P"6000 for the land it <br />wished to a cquire, said land to include approxi- <br />mately the rear half of the lot numbered 113 North <br />Street, said lot to have new boundaries and the <br />westerly half of said new lot to have an easement <br />for public recreational purposes; (2) the Board <br />would proceed with the necessary steps for the Town <br />to acquire a portion of Mr. Kendrick's land to pro- <br />vide an extension of Emerson Road from the southerly <br />corner of Mr. Moore's land to East Street; (3) Mr. <br />Moore would construct the extension of said road to <br />Fast Street; and (4) Mr. Moore would construct the <br />bridge for the Vine Brook crossing. Tt was further <br />decided that Mr. Grindle would discuss this proposal <br />with Mr. Moore and that Mr. Snow would prepare for <br />the use of Messrs. Grindle and Jaquith a plan of <br />teat portion of Mr. Kendrick's land for which it was ' <br />desired to obtain a street option. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. <br />Levi G.
