1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />April 29, 1957 <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held <br />in the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building, on <br />Monday, April 29, 1957 at 7:30 p.m. Present were <br />Chairman Grindle, Members Abbott, Burnell, Jaquith and <br />Soule; Planning Director Snow and the secretary. Mr. <br />Stevens was present from 9:40 until 10:00 p.m. <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously voted <br />that the Minutes of January 7 and 22, 1957 be <br />approved. <br />The Board approved the following bills which <br />had been presented for payment: Spaulding -Moss Co., <br />prints -436.6$; Amer. Soc. Plan. Officials, Zoning <br />Digest, Vol. 3-415.00. <br />MINUTES <br />BILLS <br />Taken under consideration was Mr. W. D. Kingery's <br />April 22, 1957 letter renewing his request that the HANCOCK <br />Hancock Heights development be completed on schedule. HEIGHTS <br />It was decided to notify Mr. Kingery that the Board <br />will keep the matter in mind and notify him at a <br />later date if Mr. Moore has not taken any further <br />action in regard to completing his development on <br />schedule. <br />A public hearing was held at 8:00 o'clock on <br />the application for approval as a subdivision proper- <br />ty of Frances May Baskin known as "Loring Hill Es- <br />tates, Section One, Lexington, Massachusetts." The <br />Chairman opened the hearing with the reading of the <br />notice as sent to all abutting property owners and <br />as published in the April 18, 1957 Lexington Minute- <br />man, and with a statement explaining the procedure <br />to be followed in conducting a hearing. Present for <br />the petitioner was Mrs. Baskints attorney, Mr. <br />Bernard B. Gould. Present also were Mr. Ernest J. <br />Corrigan, who had a sales agreement to purchase the <br />Baskin land, Mr. Win S. Couette, Realtor, and Mr. <br />Marshall Bushnell, an abutting property owner. <br />Most of the discussion centered around a means <br />of access to the property across High School lands <br />and an agreement between Mr. Ryder and the Town of <br />Lexington, in which the Town agreed to construct a <br />Board of Survey street from Waltham Street to the <br />Baskin (formerly Ryder) property. It was decided to <br />obtain a copy of this agreement from the Town Counsel <br />and discuss the matter further with him before arriv- <br />ing at any decision in regard to the submitted sub - <br />PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br />LORING HILL <br />ESTATES <br />
