_ 1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />i F <br />Monday,November 15,1951 <br />' Present: Adams, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin Jaquith., Ripley , q , P y Snow. <br />Meeting opened at 7:15 o'clock. <br />Carrig <br />Mr. James Carrig, Mr, Robert Carrig and Mr. Nylander appeared for <br />informal discussion re: plan dated Oct. 30, 1953, Watertown St. and Concord <br />Highway, approved Nov. 17, 1953 with notation "Approval not required under <br />subdivision control law," These lots do not have the required area and front- <br />age under the existing law. Mr. Carrig wished to know if the Board would ad- <br />vise his asking Board of Appeals for variances on total layout or go ahead <br />with the 5-6 lots with frontage on Concord Highway and forget the rest. This <br />was taken under advisement. However, it was the feeling of the Board that it <br />would be better to go before Board of Appeals since the lots are all of good <br />size and it would avoid entrances on the Pike. Mr. Snow to study the plan <br />further to see if some lots can be worked out with more frontage without too <br />much loss to Mr. Carrig. <br />Anastasy <br />In view of the time limit, after discussion, Mr. Hathaway moved, Mr. <br />Grindle seconded and it was unanimously <br />' VOTED: that the preliminary pian of Anastasy dated Oct. 15, 19511., <br />submitted Oct. 20, 1954 together with application on Form B <br />dated Oct. 15, 1951 be disapproved. <br />Concord Ave. Widening <br />Mr. Allen Wade of Concord Ave. wished to know the status of the pro- <br />posed Concord Ave. widening. It was the opinion of the Board that this en- <br />trance to Route 2 created a dangerous traffic situation. Mr. Hathaway moved, <br />Mr. Grindle seconded, and it was unanimously <br />VOTED: that a letter be written to the Board of Selectmen asking <br />that they give this matter further study, stating that the <br />Planning Board objects to the present plan of entrance to <br />Route 2, as a dangerous traffic situation. <br />Title on Plans <br />Some discussion as to the adequate method of entitling plans in order <br />to properly distinguish them. Mr. Snow to draw up a form in the way he wants <br />it, to be used as a guide for the developer, to be tried out. <br />Ross <br />After discussion of plan of Mrs. Eleanor Ross, Battle Green Develop.. <br />ment, the matter was held over for further study by Mr. Stevens. <br />
