45 t? 2-20-85 -2- The Board of Health would like a list of people (names and addresses) that know Ms. Haywood. The Board's decision was to invite to the next Board Meeting the owner of Lisa's Finishing Touches and also Ms. Haywood. COUNTRYSIDE Mr. Peter Kelly and Mr. Dick Perry wants to build 52 apartements in the MANOR Countryside area. The past owner said there is hazardous waste material in the ground there but Mr. Smith said they dug into the ground and found nothing. This property has a high water table so these houses will be built without cellars. rDNA The past owner of this property was always interested in what was going on at Winning Farm because she felt it would make a difference in the price that she could get for her property. She keeps saying now there is "bad stuff" in there but she has no explanation of what it is. Mr. Lambie told the other members of the Board that the Board of Selectmen would like to meet with the Board of Health soon (before town meeting) in regard to DNA, etc. The final agenda item rDNA was opened for discussion. Specifically the Board reviewed the proposed draft regulations of the rDNA Advisory Committee dated 11/15/84 with respect to revision. After review the Board made the follow- ing changes: A new section 1. entitled "Applicability" was added. A new section 2. entitled "Definitions" was added and included items (a.) large scale, (b.) significant deviation and (c.) guidelines. Section 3. Lexington Biohazards Committee (LBC) was modified as follows: In item (a) and (b) (3) the word technology was removed. A new item (5) was established. In item (6) the term "where rDNA is used" was deleted. Item C. was modified to add terms of service of appointees. Section 4 Institutional Bio Safety Committee (IBC) Section (a), (b) and (d) were rewritten. Section (e) "Minutes of Meetings" was deleted and replaced by the term "all information". Section 5. Permits Item (a) word "technology" and the term "institutions receiving such permit shall use the technology only as specifically set out in its permit application" was deleted. Item (b) (2) was revised to read "A listing of all organisms, containment levels, decontamination procedures and large scale culture volumes to be employed.
