45 <br />-2- <br />SANITARIAN'S Mrs. Halko told the Board that she has been doing routine inspections <br />ZEPORT of all motels, all the church kitchens, a pre -opening inspection of Sebastian's <br />she also did a lead paint inspection at the Trinity Covenant Church Day Care <br />Center, she has done several asbestos inspections on resident's homes, went <br />to the Peking Gardens Restaurant for a fire follow-up inspection. There was <br />a "grease" fire at 11:30 p.m. at the Peking Gardens one evening and one of <br />the employees received second degree burns. Mrs. Halko said they did a good <br />job of cleaning up and they are still working it. <br />Mrs. Halko said the Sheraton -Lexington Motel was in good shape and the <br />Catch Penny Motor Inn is renovating. <br />Mother Earth has shown some improvement in the basement area. <br />Mr. Smith said that he and Mrs. Halko should go all through the Mews to <br />check the restaurant, ventilation, etc. <br />Mrs. Halko has written several articles for the current newsletter that is <br />now being put together. Articles on proper storage of deli foods, no smoking <br />for food establishments, proper methods for sanitizing slicers and cutting <br />boards. <br />The Board appointed Mrs. Halko a special agent to sign death certificates <br />and make out burial permits in the absence of the agent. <br />THE HAMPTONS At 8:30 p.m. Mr. William Smith of Boyd -Smith and Mr. Joe Roos came before <br />the Board to briefly discuss the new subdivision called The Hamptons located <br />on Concord Avenue. There are seven lots to this subdivision. Mr. Smith will <br />be going before the Planning Board tomorrow evening and if it is passed as a <br />subdivision they will begin the building of two houses in April. <br />Conservation is concerned about a small area of wetlands on the property. <br />It has to be passed by Conservation before they can start building. <br />The Board of Health did not have any objections because these houses will <br />be town sewered and will have town water and the drainage is very good. <br />Mr. Smith said that Stearns of New York is the architect for this sub- <br />division. <br />The Board briefly discussed the WSI's and the ages of the lifeguards. Ms. <br />Halverson hopes to be able to offer better money this year to pay the lifeguards. <br />"FINISHING Mr. Smith went up to"Finishing Touches" and check it out. The place was <br />TOUCHES" clean, well lit. They were doing some waxing. Mr. Smith told her she would <br />have to change her ad's advertising that she does massaging. <br />Lisa plans to come before the Board.to get a license. <br />OVERFLOWING Mr. Smith reported that he had to issue an order "on an overflowing septic <br />SEPTIC system" to connect to town sewer. They will have to keep pumping the system <br />SYSTEM out until it is connected. <br />Dr. Goldmann said he thought we had pretty much discussed water manage- <br />ment, etc. <br />
