420 <br />The neighbors in that area are upset because of the color of the water. <br />There is bacteria in the water and the D.P.W. is looking into the problems <br />of this area. <br />MOSQUITO The Board and Mr. Smith will be preparing something on mosquito control <br />CONTROL for town meeting. <br />RDNA <br />COMM. <br />Dr. Goldmann wondered if, in additon to tracking the mosquito population <br />what about tracking the virus. We could have a large population of mosquitoes <br />and no virus in town. <br />This is the third year of the "cycle" and the season was ended with <br />virus around. <br />The control efforts last year of Lexington and some of the surrounding <br />towns was helpful to the mosquito control program. <br />The $19,000. in the warrant for Health is a little misleading. Mr. Smith <br />said - $11,000. is for mosquito control and the $8,000. is for the Health <br />Dept. budget. <br />Mr. Smith said the Air Force may pay for our educational literature this <br />year. <br />Mr. Lambie said when we are preparing our report for the town meeting we <br />should list the pesticides we will be using and be prepared to answer any <br />questions. <br />Dr. Roemer said our report for town meeting should be made very simple - <br />so much money for larviciding, so much for water management, etc. We should be <br />prepared to answer any or all questions regarding mosquito control and the <br />Board feels that David Henley, EEMCP should be in attendance, also. <br />Town Meeting will not be getting to the financial items until April 26th <br />or April 29th. The Board will be working on a mosquito control statement <br />before they go to town meeting. <br />The Board of Selectmen turned the RDNA project over to the Board of Health. <br />The Board decided that they should get an advisory committee together <br />with one Board of Health member on the committee. They have to find people <br />with expertise in this field. <br />The town manager made an announcement they are looking for qualified for <br />this committee. <br />Dr. Goldmann said there must be 50 people in town qualified for the oommittee. <br />When the committee is picked, if the Board feels that they need more..know- <br />ledge, they can always find a qualified person to help. Dr. Goldmann has a name <br />of someone who is high up at Collaborative Research who could answer questions. <br />They will need about five volunteers and one member of the Board of Health. <br />Dr. Goldmann will represent the Board. <br />After the committee is established all meetings will have to be posted at <br />the Town Clerk's Office. <br />
