1 1 1 Mr. Smith reported to the Board that Waltham Chemical has been contacted WOODPARK and will be coming to woodpark Estates to "rodent bait" on January 17th. ESTATES Mr. Smith reported that he has checked the house on Marrett Road where the "boat people" live. He said the rooms are small but they will only be there for approximately nine months. He feels they can utilize the rooms differently and make do while they are living there, so he does not object. The members of the Board were unanimous in their vote to allow the "boat people" to stay there. BOAT PEOPLE Mr. Smith reported that the Building Commissioner, Peter DiMatteo, had 33 SYLVIA received a letter stating that the house at 33 Sylvia had settled. STREET He also reported that the landlord had started the repairs and has done a lot of the work that he had requested to be done. Mr. Smith told the Board that the Town Manager had received a letter from a resident about the "gypsy moth problem" in the town. They do not want spraying but suggested mobilizing groups to pick the egg sacks from the trees. The Board discussed the problem of the gypsy moths and caterpillars and how aerial spraying is the only way to get after them but there are many people in town that are against spraying. The Board decided it is more of a Park Department problem than a Health Department problem because there is no health hazard involved. Mr. Smith said he would drop a memo to the Town Manager suggesting that the gypsy moth problem would be a Park Department problem. At 7:30 p.m. Mr. Fred Wright and Mrs. San Martino of the Mystic Valley Mental Health Association came before the Board to discuss the Budget. M.V.M.H.A. They stated they are asking about the same as last year from the Town. BUDGET It was a sum of $30,853. Mr. Wright explained that they had received an increase from the federal government and are requesting additonal monies from the State. Mr. Wright and Mrs. San Martino explained to the Board the different categories of their work at M.V.M.H.A. and of the agencies and groups they worked with in Lexington. Because they were not asking for an increase there was no further discussion of their Budget. Mr. Wright and Mrs. SanMartino thanked the Board and retired. At 8:15 p.m. Mrs. Virginia Fitzgerald Lovett, Mr. Frank Johnson FITZGERALD- and Karen Bresnihan came before the Board to discuss "increasing the LOVETT HORSE permit for one more horse". PERMIT Mrs. Fitzgerald -Lovett told the Board that Karen Bresnihan is in charge of the stable as Lisa Fitzgerald is away until the Spring. Dr. Cosgrove commented that the animal permit was in Lisa's name.
