468 <br />Motion mads and duly passed that this application to <br />keep a horse on the premises at 545 Bedford Street be denied. <br />Mr. Heustis reported that Dr. Cosgrove had received a <br />rash of complaints about the restaurants in town. Some of the <br />RESTAURANTS 11 <br />complaints were dirty untensils, dirty restaurant areas, and <br />the food was being served cold. These calls seem to have subside . <br />Mr. Heustis said he had stopped into the restaurants and explained. <br />what was expected of the staff, <br />HARD OF M;r. Heustis said he had contacted Mrs. Kennedy of the Hard <br />HEARING of Hearing Guild and set the dates of May 7 through May 11 for <br />CLINIC the mobile unit to be in Lexington. If these dates are approved <br />by the Board a confirmation letter will be sent to the Guild. <br />The Guild will expect the two hundred dollar donation from the <br />Rotary Club as was given last year. The advertising for the <br />clinic will be worked out with the Rotary Club. <br />The Board approved these dates and Dr. Cosgrove instructed <br />the clerk to write to the treasurer of the Rotary Club about <br />the donation for the Guild. <br />The advisory letter regarding the treatment of suspected <br />tuberculosis patients who are known alcoholics with I.N.H. was <br />ALCOHOLISM read and placed on file. <br />Dr. Ellicott reported on the meeting he attended at Mystic <br />Valley Mental Health Association on alcoholism. The new <br />alcoholic law will be in effect July 1, 1973. Middleses Regional <br />Hospital has an alcoholic unit in operation now. This unit is <br />equipped to give extensive care for alcoholics. <br />The next meeting of the Board of Health will be held <br />Monday, February 26, 1973. <br />Meeting adjourned. <br />The meeting was changed from February 26, 1973 to March 5, 1973. <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />MARCH 5, 1973 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Monday, <br />March 5, 1973 at 7:00 P.M. in Conference Room G-5. Members <br />present were: James W. Lambie, Dr. Charles Ellicott, Robert C. <br />Heustis, Director of Public Health. <br />The minutes of the February 5, 1973 meeting were approved <br />as read but Mr. Lambie and Dr. Ellicott would like to bring up <br />the "no variance of acreage" for keeping horses at the next <br />meeting. <br />At 7:30 P.M. Mrs. Mary Welch, Executive Director of Mystic <br />MYSTIC VALLEY Valley Mental Health Association came before the Board to <br />MENTAL HEALTH discuss their budget request. <br />BUDGET <br />Mrs. Welch thanked the Board for allowing her to cm and <br />discuss the budget requests. <br />1 <br />
