1 <br />1 <br />Mr. Houstis said Mr. McSweeney hnd written a letter steting <br />that two contracts had been awarded under a grant from: the Fed- <br />eral Water Quality Administration and the State Division of <br />Weter Pollution Control for construction of a relief sewer and <br />alterations to the Brook Street Pumping Station. These altera- <br />tions should handle the sewage based on population saturation <br />and land use from this area. <br />Dr. <br />addition, <br />date. <br />Cosgrove <br />asked when Mr. Kraska planned to open his new <br />Mr. Kraska said he had set September 1, 1971 as a completion <br />Dr. Cosgrove asked when construction would take place. <br />Mr. Kraska replied as soon as possible, the bank was waiting <br />until he had the Innkeepers license before releasing his money to <br />start construction. <br />Dr. Cosgrove instructed Mr. Heustis to find out what the <br />completion date would be on the sewer construction work mentioned <br />in Mr. McSweeney's letter. <br />Mr. Kraska said he had talked to John McSweeney and had been <br />assured that there was no problems. <br />Dr. Cosgrove said the Board would like the assurance of Mr. <br />McSweeney that the work at the Pumping Station would be completed <br />by the time or at least at the same time the additional units at <br />the Motel were ready for occupancy._ <br />Mr. Kraska said he was very concerned about the problems at <br />the Pumping Station when he learned of them, but he had no problems <br />with sewage with the first 60 units and no drainage problems. <br />Dr. Cosgrove explained that each Spring for a number of years <br />there had been problems with the Pumping Station and this has been <br />of great concern to the Board cf Health. <br />The Board asked if Mr. Kraska had to do any more filing on <br />the land. <br />Mr. Kraska said "No", and he understood. that the State had <br />stopped the filling of low lands along the Shawsheen r.5 ver. <br />Mr. 'amble said the inc.reaso cf i'T thousand gallons a day <br />could put quite a strain on the Pumping Station and unless the <br />Board was assured that the alterations would be made by they time <br />the new units oer, opened he would hesitate to apprce.e this re- <br />quest. <br />Kraske said he would like to start building in another <br />few weeks, h ee:the letter from ?o r cf Health .. hut . e aid need � t _r �_ �m th^ .�� 7 � "3 l� 1 to <br />present to the Bank handling the financial arrangements for the <br />Motel. <br />93 <br />
