517 <br />Control, and Miss Elizabeth Russell, Head Social Worker of the <br />Middlesex County Sanatorium, were approved b;,r the Board. The <br />clerk exrlained these letters were to obtain information on old <br />tuberculosis cases in order to bring the office records up to <br />date, and also to complete a revision of the files in the Health <br />Department to coincide with the State Tuberculosis Piles. <br />The letter to Mr. R.A. Lord requesting his aid in obtaining FLU <br />150 Sec vials of Flu vaccine for the town clinic was approved b:. VACCINE <br />the Board. <br />The letter to Mr. Stevens, Town Council, stating the change SEPTIC <br />in the septic tank regulation Chapter V, Section L, paragraph 3, TANK <br />was approved by the Board. CHANGE <br />Mr. Stevens acknowledgement of this change of regulation <br />stated that the Health Department must. also file a copy of this <br />change with the Town Clerk not later than 10 days after this <br />change takes effect, as well as running the advertisement in the <br />paper. <br />The Board instructed the clerk to see that this change was <br />filed with the Town Clerk by December 10, 1961. The change was <br />also published in the Lexington Minute Man, November X32, 1961 as <br />a paid advertisement to the people. <br />The letter from Whitman & Howard, Inc. regarding the system <br />at 34 Turning Mill Road was approved. Mr. Lurvey reported Mr. 34 TURNING <br />Curry, owner of the property at 3L. Turning Mill Road, had re- MILL ROAD <br />quested help in eliminating sewage seepage in the leaching bed, <br />because of the difficulties encountered Mr. Lurvey requested Mr. <br />Lucas of Whitman & Howard to consult with Mr. Curry. Mr. Lucas <br />reported that although the present field is apparently leaching <br />but not rapidly enough to take care of the water consumption. <br />An:_additional leaching bed is to be added to the existing bed. <br />This should relieve the situation for several years. <br />The letter from Mrs. Morey, Chairman of the Board of Select- BUDGET <br />men, requesting the proposed budgets for 1962 be submitted by <br />December 1, 1961, was read and placed on file. <br />The letter to Albert Koch, Suburbanite Cesspool Co. stating SUBURBAN - <br />that a copy of the Rules and Regulations, Chapter V, Section 3, CESSPOOL <br />means exactly what it says, a permit must be obtained for con- SERVICE <br />struction on a sewage disposal unit whether it be old or new <br />was approved by the Board. Mr. Lurvey explained Mr. Koch had <br />violated this regulation before and he hoped this warning would <br />be adequate and further steps would not have to be taken. <br />A copy of the letter sent b: the Benjamin Franklin Homes 52 TURNING <br />to Mr. Irwin, building inspector was read by the Board. This MILL ROAD <br />letter is in regard to the fill at 52 Turning Mill Road reported <br />on at our last meeting. Mr. Lurvey said this property was now <br />in the process of being filled in. <br />The.letter from the Massachusetts Veterinary Association RABIES <br />regarding the reported case of rabies in Harvard Massachusetts <br />was read by the Board. <br />
