The Boa^d <br />arproved this Child Care Center. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that Mr. George DeVgies had taken care 11 WINCH - <br />of the pile of brush, which was a rat harborage, in the rear of ESTER DR. <br />11 Winchester Drive, and also the broken glass from the old house <br />in the Sun Valley Section. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that he had called Mr. Nickerson of the LOWELL & <br />State Health Department regarding the Lowell and Summer Street SUMMER ST <br />Brook and Mr. Nickerson spoke as though he wanted to let the pro- BROOK <br />blem rest for the winter. Mr. Lurvey said as we continue to <br />receive complaints about the odors from.this.brook, and as no <br />improvement had been made, he felt very much concerned. The <br />source of these odors definitely originate at the Arlington San- <br />itary Land Fill Project on Summer Street. <br />The Board decided to ask Mr. Nickerson to a.luncheon meeting <br />on Tuesday, November 29, 1960 at the battle Green Inn to discuss <br />this problem further. Mr. Lurvey was instructed to contact Mr. <br />Nickerson for this date and then let the Board membera.know the <br />time and date. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that as Milk Inspector he had revoked B.L. CUMMIN1 <br />the license of B.L. Cummings to deliver milk in Lexington be- GS MILK <br />cause,of the consistently high bacterialogical counts. Mr. Lur- <br />vey showed the Board the recent counts on B.L. Cummings milk, also <br />the reports from the Watertown Health Department and the field <br />counts which are done by a private laboratory for Mr. Cummings. <br />Mr. Lurvey says that when Mr. Cummings has cleaned up his dairy <br />and brought the bacteria counts down then he will have to have a <br />hearing with the State Health Department and Mr. Lurvey before <br />his license will be re -instated. As it now stands if Mr. Cumm- <br />ings is delivering milk in'L'exington he is doing so without a <br />license and can be stopped either by Mr. Lurvey or the local <br />police. <br />The application to keep a'horse by Lawrence Bode, 555 ANIMAL <br />Marrett Road, was approved by the board.. Mr. Lurvey reported APPLICATION <br />that all the abuttors had been contacted and he•had received <br />no objections. <br />Mr. Lurvey reported that upon inspection of the Carriage CARRIAGE <br />House Restaurant he had found a number of violations to the HOUSE <br />Lexington Health Department Rules and Regulations. The score •RESTAURANT <br />for this inspection had dropped to 81-B from a 91-A in June. <br />Mr. Lurvey showed the Board the letter which will be sent to <br />the Carriage House Restaurant listing the violations and also <br />stating that a re -inspection will be made within one week and <br />if no.improvement has been made in this establishment then <br />court action will be taken. <br />Mr. Lurvey also reported to Mr. Donald Irwin, Building In- <br />spector, about the use of the upstairs room at the Carriage House <br />because it has only one entrance it is a fire hazard. Mr. Irwin <br />told Mr. Lurvey he had already written a letter telling the own- <br />ers of.the Carriage House Restaurant that they could not use this <br />upstairs room as it now stands because it is a fire hazard. <br />
