EXINGTQN <br />Q012h <br />`ttiSION 2006 Lexington 2020 Vision Questionnaire <br />The vision and goals for Lexington in the year 2020 belong to the entire community. The <br />2020 Vision Committee continues to seek ways to increase public communication and <br />community involvement. Please add your voice to the discussion by answering the <br />following questions. If you need more space, please use the back or a separate page. <br />1. Consider the list of goals in relation to what you value about Lexington. <br />a. Is anything missing? <br />b. Which three goals seem closest to being realized? <br />c. Which three goals are in particular need of attention? <br />2. Regarding the recommendations of the Constructive Community <br />Discourse Task Force, <br />a. Do you think the nature of public discourse in Lexington has improved over <br />the last few years? Is more action needed? <br />b. Are you aware of existing successful gathering places in Lexington where <br />people can get together informally? Do you think residents are generally <br />able to find the information they need about town issues? <br />c. Have you ever visited the Town's website? If yes, did you find what you <br />were looking for? What suggestions do you have for improvement? <br />3. Regarding the recommendations of the Budget Task Force, <br />a. Do you believe that Lexington has sound financial policies (reserves, capital <br />investment, debt management, etc.)? <br />b. Would it be helpful to have the recommended budget available before the <br />Town election so that budget issues could be discussed during the campaign? <br />c. How do you get your information about the Town's budget? Do you have <br />suggestions for additional information that should be communicated to <br />residents? <br />
