<br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 30, 2018 <br />The first meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC), held in Estabrook <br />Hall, Cary Memorial Building was called to order 7:00 p.m. by member Sarah Felton. CPAC <br />members Stacy Beuttell, Hema Bhatt, Matthew Daggett, Marilyn Fenollosa, Camille Goodwin, <br />Sarah Felton, Leonard Morse-Fortier, Christian Senna, Patrick Sullivan, Ruixi Yuan, and Deepak <br />Amenani were present. The CPAC meeting was also attended by Aaron Henry, David Fields, and <br />Carol Kowalski. The meeting was facilitated by Jeff Dietrich of Howard Stein Hudson. <br />*********************** INTRODUCTION *********************** <br />Mr. Henry provided introductory remarks on the comprehensive plan and the proposed <br />framework of completing the project to the CPAC, followed by Planning Board Chair Richard <br />Canale. <br />*********************** NEW BUSINESS *********************** <br />Meeting Frequency. Staff discussed some basic CPAC business matters, including how often it <br />would like to meet. It was recommend that, at least for now, the group meet monthly (although <br />this may need to increase in the fall). <br />Committee Officers. The group also discussed committee governance. Staff recommend a co- <br />chair structure. A final decision on this was not reached. <br />Lead Consultant RFP. Planning staff walked through the framework of the plan and a draft RFP <br />for the lead consultant. <br />********** COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING PRESENTATION ********** <br />The meeting was then lead through a presentation on comprehensive planning and regional trends <br />by Jeff Dietrich, a public involvement specialist, and planner with the firm of Howard Stein <br />Hudson (HSH). There was a brief opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the <br />presentation. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:52 PM. <br /> <br />Prepared by Aaron Henry, Planning Director <br /> <br />
