FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br /> Members: 6 members(2 Selectmen, 1 Clergy,2 Service Organization Representatives,and <br /> 1 Trustee) <br /> Appointed By: Board of Selectmen <br /> Length of Term: open <br /> Appointments Made: As needed <br /> Meeting Times: Quarterly,or as needed <br /> Description: This Fund is devoted to three purposes:Beautification.Human Services (primarily to include relief for <br /> those who are financially threatened by property tax payments,or who face other financial problems),and <br /> Community Betterment,an all-purpose account.The Board is responsible for soliciting donations. In addition they <br /> review requests and disperse funds in accordance with the criteria of the Fund. <br /> Criteria for Membership: The Board of The Fund for Lexington(the Board)shall consist of two members of the <br /> Board of Selectmen,one of whom shall be Chair,the chair or his designee of the Trustees of Public Trusts,one <br /> resident Clergy,and the presidents or their designees of two service or fraternal organizations which are active <br /> within the Town.The identity of these organizations is to be determined annually by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Ref.: Established by Selectmen October 16, 1995. <br /> Selectmen designated as Special Municipal Employees on January 18,2006. <br />
