Hadley I.I <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> MSO-Tech, Inc. <br /> Hartwell Ave. Wood St, Mass Ave, Marrett (state) Spring St.- Install Conduit <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: <br /> The Department of Public Works/Engineering Division has reviewed the petition, <br /> plan and order for MSO Tech to install approximately 21,424 ± feet of conduit <br /> from Spring St at Rt 2, to Spring St. at Marrett Rd to Marrett Rd at Mass Ave., to <br /> Mass. Ave at Wood St to Wood St at Hartwell Ave, 700' to a new communication <br /> Handhole on Hartwell Ave. to bring fiber optics cable communications to <br /> Hanscom Air Force Base. A public hearing is required and abutters have been <br /> notified. The contractor who performs the excavation will be required to obtain <br /> a Street Opening Permit. Since this petition appears to be in order, we <br /> recommend that approval be granted. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br /> None <br /> RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION: <br /> Motion to approve the petition of MSO-Tech to construct, and a location for, <br /> a line of conduits and manholes with the necessary wires and cables therein <br /> to be located under the surface of Hartwell Ave, Wood St, Mass Ave, and <br /> Spring St: <br /> Directional bore or trench/place (2) 1 '/2" conduits e/w fiber optic cable starting from existing <br /> communication handhole, <br /> located 325' northwest of SR 2/Concord Turnpike &Spring St. intersection, then running <br /> northeast along Spring St, then running west <br /> along Marrett Rd., then running northeast along Massachusetts Ave, then running North along <br /> Wood St, then running West along <br /> Hartwell Ave. for approximately 700' and the placement of a new communication handhole <br /> on the South side of Hartwell Ave. <br /> STAFF FOLLOW-UP: <br /> Engineering Division <br />
