License No..__fflo-------..__ American Driven Well Licensee This License authorizes the making of One Domestic Driven Well, not exceeding one and one-half inches internal diameter, under Green's American Driven Well Patent, Re -issue No. 4,372, dated May q, 1871; and it will entitle the holder to use the well during the full term for which the patent is granted, for house, stock, stable and farm purposes, by hand, wind or animal power, at the place designated hereon, whenthe following terms and conditions are complied with. The blanks of both Certificates A and B shall be filled as their forms and memoranda printed hereon suggest, immediately after the construction of the Well, so as to insure its identification, and Certificate B bearing the same numbers as this License, shall,with its blanks so filled, be returned within ten days thereafter, to WQJdAM D. ANDREWS & BROTHER, New York. The user of this License accepts its terms and agrees to comply with its conditions, in considera- tion of a discount of PbAy per cbnt. having been made from its fixed price of Ten Dollars; a failure to comply with its terms and conditions shall forfeit all rights and claims to protection under it. It is available in any portion of the United States not sold, leased, or excepted : corrected lists of such excepted territory will from time totime be furnished to parties having Licenses for sale. The License must be purchased before putting clown a well; it will protect only a well made and used in conformity with these conditions, and will not license any well previously made; it is not transferable, except with the well described hereon, if Certificate B is, or has been previously detached from it, nor unless both Certificates A and B remain blank.
