83 <br />LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS <br />October 10, 1985 <br />Pursuant to notice in the Lexington Minute -Man, a newspaper of general circu- <br />lation in the Town, published on September 26 and October 3, 1985 and notice sent <br />by mail, postage prepaid, to all interested parties pursuant to the provisions of <br />Massachusetts General Lbws, public hearings were held in the Town Office Building <br />on the petitions listed below. <br />Acting on the petitions were: Chairman Thomas G. Taylor, Vice Chairman <br />Natalie H. Riffin, Robert M. Gary, Anne R. Scigliano and Clarence D. Turner. <br />94 Hartwell Avenue: The Restaurant Realty Trust, Alfred P. Tropeano, Trustee, <br />requested a special permit to erect and maintain one double-faced standing, non - <br />illuminated sign at 94 Hartwell Avenue. <br />52 Waltham Street: Dennis R. Lowe and Barry P. Devenna requested a special peri t <br />to install a -double-faced, standing sign on a single post, without lights. <br />30 Hancock Street: Mary M. Jones, Trustee, 30 Hancock Street Trust, requested a <br />variance, under Section 6 (non -conforming uses and structures) to remove a flat <br />roof from a portion of the house (built in 1840) and replace it with a pitched roof. <br />The roof will have an overhang and gutter which will bring the new roof to within 14 <br />feet of Hancock Avenue, instead of the twenty feet required by the current zoning <br />by-law. <br />3 Pheasant Lane: Carole L. and Haig Sarian requested a special permit, in accordance <br />with Zoning By -Law Section 5.7, to install an inground swimming pool. <br />196 Woburn Street: David Modoono requested a special permit for the temporary use <br />(one year) of the premises to permit operation of a trucking service. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />All of the above petitions were granted by unanimous vote of the Board, except <br />that David Modoono was given a permit which ,would be valid for three months (riot one <br />year). Please see decisions for details. Most decisions are subject to conditions. <br />Other business: Anne Scigliano agreed to write the narrative for the Town Report. <br />Election of Officers: Thomas G. Taylor was re-elected Chairman; Natalie H. Riffin, <br />Vice Chairman; and Evelyn F. Cole, Clerk. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:23 p.m. <br />Respectfully.submitted, <br />Y <br />Evelyn F.
