LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS <br />July 28, 1983 <br />The Board held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present and acting on petitions were: <br />Thomas G. Taylor, Chairman <br />Natalie H. Riffin, Vice Chairman <br />Associates: Jonathan P. Doran <br />Anne R. Scigliano <br />Clarence D. Turner <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions. <br />7A Meriam St., LaTienda Sister City Store d/b/a LaTienda Mexican shop requested a <br />special permit (ZBL Section 10.4.3) to install a projecting sign (CB zone). <br />1666 Mass. Ave., Galo P. Emerson, Jr. requested special permits for food service <br />operations at "Lexington Square" (CB zone), requesting seating for 72 persons and <br />carry out service (ZBL Sec Uon -.3 S Table 1, lines 6.12 & 6.14). <br />Request to hold hearing at a later date granted. Hearing readvertised for 9/8. <br />261 Marrett Rd., David A. Souers requested a variance of dimensional controls to <br />construct an energy conserving enclosure for a front porch. <br />915 Waltham St., Texaco, Inc, requested a special permit to continue to operate the <br />premises as a gasoline station (CN zone). (reference ZBL 3.3 & Table 1, line 5.1). <br />915 Waltham St., Texaco, Inc, requested a special permit to install a standing sign <br />(ZBL Sec. 10.4.5). <br />73 Waltham St., New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. requested a variance of Table <br />2 dimensional controls (side yard 13' instead of 20') in order to construct an addi- <br />tion to the existing 2 -story telephone switching station at 73 Waltham St. in CB zone. <br />73 Waltham St., N.E. Tel & Tel. Co. requested a special permit for extension of an <br />existing non -conforming use and structure, 18' instead of 20' from side lot line <br />(ref. ZBL Sec. 6.3) and a Special Permit for use (ZBL Table 1, line 2.3). <br />Decisions filed with.the Town Clerk. <br />7A-Meriam-St. - SP granted unanimously. <br />261 Marrett Rd. - Variance granted unanimously. <br />915 Waltham St. SP for gas station granted unanimously. <br />- SP ,for sign granted unanimously. <br />73 Waltham St. - SP to extend or enlarge telephone exchange building, <br />SP to extend the use into the proposed addition. <br />Variance in order to construct an addition to its existing 2 -story <br />telephone switching station.
