LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS - December 9, 1982 <br />At 7:25 p.m. members met in Selectmen's Meeting Room for photograph for 1982 <br />Annual Town Report. All regular and associate members had been notified that a <br />photograph would be taken. <br />Regular Members Present: Woodruff M. Brodhead, Chairman, Natalie H. Riffin, Vice <br />Chairman and Irving H. Mabee. Associates Present: Eric T. Clarke, William C. Hays <br />and Jonathan P. Doran. <br />Regular Members Absent: Robert M. Gary and Thomas G. Taylor. Associates Absent: <br />Laurence K. Redgate, Anne R. Scigliano and Clarence D. Turner. <br />At 7:30 p.m. public hearingw were held with Members: Brodhead, Riffin, Mabee, <br />Clarke and Hays acting on the following petitions: <br />60 Winter St., Jos. W. and Doris B. Sullivan requested a variance of dimensional con- <br />trols (Sec. 7.1 & Table 2) to allow a pool, installed in 1978 to remain as located <br />17.4' from the front lot line instead of 30'; also a special permit (Sec. 7.4.9) to <br />allow a dwelling to remain as located. <br />1794 Mass. Ave., C.D.E. Inc., d/b/a Sack Cinema Lexington, I & II requested a special <br />permit (Sec. 3.3) to continue to use premises as a motion picture theatre (Tab.l,line <br />2.6) . <br />10 Muzzey St., CDE Inc., d/b/a Sack Cinema III requested a special permit to continue <br />to use prmmises as a motion picture theatre (Table 1, line 2.6 & subject to Sec. 3.3). <br />33 Bedford St., Moore Homes Inc. requested a special permit to erect an illuminated <br />!standing sign (Sections 10.2.5 & 10.4.4) for the Liberties, office condominiums. <br />40 Hartwell Ave., Control Data Corp., Micro -Bit Div. requested a special permit <br />(Table 1, line 9.1) to locate 5 office trailers on property for one year. <br />544 Lowell St., Peter Cavallaro requested special permits: (1) to operate a commer- <br />cial greenhouse; and (2) to maintain a standing sign, "Plant Action Inc.". <br />* At 8:30 p.m. members of the Town's Accessory Apartment Committee* met with the <br />Board to explain the status of a report which will be filed with Town Meeting. No <br />formal action was taken by the Board of Appeals Members present at this time.. <br />Peter F. DiMatteo, Building Commissioner told the Board that citizen complaints <br />re. gas stations had prompted his department to inspect the 16 gas stations. Eleven <br />are under complaint. It was decided that a policy statement is necessary to state <br />what gas station operators can or cannot do. <br />Hearing decisions, all unanimous, filed with the Town Clerk: <br />60 Winter St. - V and SP, both, granted. <br />1794 Mass.
