TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />November 18, 1982 <br />The Board of Appeals held a reaular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. Present <br />and acting:*Regulars: Brodhead, R.iffin, Gary; Associates: J.P. Doran & A.R. Scigliano. <br />sublic hearings were held on the following petitions, beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />1265 Massachusetts Ave., Seasons Four requested special permits as follows: (1) to <br />sell Christmas trees and wreaths during the Christmas Season and (2) for extended <br />opening hours, November 26 to December 23, 1982, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to <br />9 p.m. (ZBL Section 3.3 and Table 1, line 3.5). <br />1265 Massachusetts Ave., Anthony R. Cataldo requested a special permit (ZBL Section <br />3.3) to continue to process and sell fruits and vegetables at premises located at <br />Gold Ribbon Farms, <br />922 Waltham St., Abbott Spray & Farm Equipment Co., Abbott Supply, Inc., James <br />Satterfield (tenants) and owner, Nicholas A. Cannalonga, Trustee, requested the <br />following: (1) a special permit to allow the (1946) building and (1953) addition <br />to be used for the purposes of sale and service of farm and garden equipment and <br />vehicles and related storage, as allowed by a special permit granted to Herbert V. <br />Abbott in 1946; (2) a variance of zoning by-law Table 2 (dimensional controls) <br />because one corner of the addition was set back 19.24 ft. from the rear zoning line <br />instead of 20 ft. <br />430-440 Bedford St., Denny's/Lexington Chalet, Inc. requested a special permit (SPS - <br />Section 3.4) to renovate existing restaurant building and construct an addition to <br />the rear and add a free-standing masonry trash enclosure. The addition will allow <br />a fixed seating of 152 in the restaurant compared to the 106 presently provided. <br />430-440 Bedford St., Denny's/Lexington Chalet, Inc. requested variances as follows; <br />(1) from zoning by-law section 9.8.5 to allow less than the required number of park- <br />ing spaces and (2) from zoning by-law section 7.1, side yard dimensional controls to <br />allow a trash enclosure to be located 40 ft. from the property line instead of 50 ft. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk: (all unanimous decisions) <br />1265 Mass. Ave. - special permits granted in both cases.for 1982 only. <br />(Seasons Four) <br />1265 Mass. Ave. - special permit granted (expiration date 6/1/83). <br />(Anthony R. Cataldo) <br />922 Waltham St. - SP granted for 2 years (expiration date 11/18/84). <br />V granted. <br />430-440 Bedford St. -SPS granted for renovation & to add a trash enclosure. <br />-V granted to allow', trash enclosure to be 40' from prop. <br />line. <br />Withdrawn - variance re. no. of parking spaces. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:17 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Evelyn F.
