BOARD OF APPEALS <br />September 10, 1981 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: Woodruff M. Brodhead, Chairman <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Robert M. Gary <br />Anne R. Scigliano, Associate <br />Ruth Morey, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions (6). <br />18 Preston Rd., Michael F. Kraley - special permit for a swimming pool. <br />214 Pollen Rd., Vincent and Judy Sites - special permit for a swimming pool. <br />3 Allen St., Robert and Marguerite Barnard - special permit for a swimming pool. <br />2 & 3 Forbes Rd., Honeywell, Inc. - special permit to allow for the temporary use <br />of up to 18 office trailers. <br />Lexington Housing Authority - special permit (SPS) with site plan review to con- <br />struct and operate a complex of 60 units of housing for the elderly in 5 buildings <br />and a community building on 5.2 acres of land on and off Woburn St. The land, <br />currently owned by Town of Lexington, is 'zoned RM -Multi -Family -garden apartment <br />district. The Site, which backs up to Harrington School Site, is shown as Lots <br />112A and 126 on Town Property Map 46, A companion legal notice identifies dimen- <br />sional variances being requested. . <br />Lexington Housing Authority - variances as follows: <br />1. To increase the maximum number of dwelling units that can be located within <br />each building to 12. <br />2. To reduce the frontage required from 200' to 74.441. <br />3. To reduce side and rear yard requirements as follows: <br />(a) northeasterly yard from 40' to 301. <br />(b) easterly side yard from 40' to 311. <br />(c) rear yard from 40 to not less than 30'. <br />(d) yard adjacent to other districts (duplication of a,b & c). <br />4. To reduce the required distance between building Al and building B from <br />30 feet to 20 feet. <br />5.
