BOARD OF APPEALS <br />May 21, 1981 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: Woodruff M. Brodhead, Vice Chairman (acting chairman) <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Natalie H. Riffin <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Robert V. Whitman, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions. (7) <br />3 John Poulter Rd., Howard and Elizabeth H. Pifer - special permit for a pool. <br />47 Liberty Ave., Ming-Jer and Huan Rosa Tsai - variance of dimensional controls <br />to remodel existing garage and carport into a family room and a new garage by <br />extending the existing structure 6 ft. to the side yard. The proposed new family <br />room and garage will violate the current minimum front yard setback requirement. <br />4 Moon Hill Rd., Leonora Zola, Psychologist - special permit to use a portion of <br />her residence to counsel patients. <br />51-53 Woburn St., Norman Nielsen - special permit to convert the space formerly <br />used as a store to living space, making a two family house at 51-53 Woburn St. <br />52 Lowell St., Rosina Busa - special permits for operation of a roadside stand <br />and to sell Christmas trees and wreaths in the appropriate season at Sun Valley <br />Farms. The first roadside stand permit was granted in 1959 and a roadside stand <br />has operated every year since then. <br />196 Woburn St., Robert and David Modoono - renewal of special permits for operation <br />of a roadside stand and to sell Christmas trees and wreaths in the appropriate <br />season at 196 Woburn St. (formerly identified as 192 Woburn St.). <br />40 Hartwell Ave., Control Data Corp., Micro -Bit Division - special permit to locate <br />up to 5 office trailers to house personnel temporarily during an internal reloca- <br />tion of plant facilities and work spaces. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />52 Lowell St. - SP's granted ( 4 to 0, Irving Mabee abstaining). <br />3 John Po It r Rd. - SP granted unanimously. <br />47 Liberty Ave. - Variance granted unanimously. <br />4 Moon Hill Rd. - SP granted to Dr. Zola with conditions (decision was unanimous). <br />51-53 Woburn St. - SP granted unanimously (converted dwelling cannot be returned <br />to business use.). <br />196 Woburn St. - SP granted unanimously (expires 4/30/83). <br />40 Hartwell Ave. - Temporary SP granted unanimously (trailers must be removed by <br />6/3/82) . <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:03 p.m. <br />' <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Evelyn F.
