BOARD OF APPEALS <br />May 14, 1981 <br />' 7:30 p.m. <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: Ruth Morey, Chairman <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Natalie H. Riffin <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Eric T. Clarke, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions. <br />927 Waltham St., Nicholas A. Cannalonga, D/B/A Wagon Wheel Nursery and Garden Center <br />- renewal of a special permit to continue to store and sell in conjunction with the <br />operation of a nursery all of the supplementary items of a nursery allowed by special <br />permit including the sale of Christmas trees and wreaths in the appropriate season. <br />573 Marrett Rd., Bernard D. Osgood - special permit for a swimming pool. <br />8 Bartlett Ave., Robert E. Boudreau - variance of dimensional controls to add a porch <br />with basement under. The addition will have a side yard of 8 feet instead of 10 feet. <br />31 Mass. Ave., Ronald G. and Laurie J. Thompson, Trustees of R & L Realty Trust - <br />special permit to allow for the operation of a commercial car wash. A portion of the <br />existing structure being used for a car wash would be removed and an addition approxi- <br />mately 22 ft. long and 27 ft. wide would be added to the remaining portion of the <br />structure. Also, Petitioners seek a variance from the dimensional controls so as to <br />allow for the continued use of the access to the structure which provides for no rear <br />yard. Petitioner operates the business and has an option to purchase property. <br />52 Lowell St., Rosina Busa, Sun Valley Farms - renewal of special permits to operate <br />a roadside stand and to sell Christmas trees and wreaths in season. <br />294 Woburn St., Mary Pedrotti - special permit (for 5 years) to install a telephone <br />switchboard in order to operate a telephone answering service to be known as Country- <br />side Answering Service. <br />186 Bedford St., Mystic Valley Mental Health Center Association, Inc. - to amend the <br />special permit granted 10/15/68 so as to allow a change in operating hours. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />927 Waltham St. - SP granted unanimously (expires 4/24/83) <br />573 Marrett Rd. - SP granted unanimously. <br />8 Bartlett Ave. - Variance granted unanimously. <br />31 Mass. Ave. - special permit & variance granted unanimously. <br />294 Woburn St. - special permit granted unanimously (expires 5/14/86) . <br />52 Lowell St. - petition withdrawn. <br />' 186 Bedford St. - decision postponed (see June 18 meeting minutes). <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:53 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Evelyn F.
