BOARD OF APPEALS <br />August 14, 1980 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: Ruth Morey, Chairman <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Eric T. Clarke, Associate <br />Robert M. Gary, Associate <br />William C. Hays <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions. <br />536 Mass. Ave., James and Annmarie Shimansky - special permit for a swimming pool. <br />35 Locust Ave., Lynda A. and Robert C. Wik - variance of dimensional controls in <br />order to build a deck in back of their house. <br />32 Hill St., Joel Leon Lipshutz - variance of dimensional controls to construct a <br />two car carport at 32 Hill St. <br />96 Bow St., Edward J. Herman - variance of dimensional controls to extend or enlarge <br />a lawfully existing, nonconforming, one -family dwelling. <br />Walnut St. & Concord Ave. (formerly Powder Horn Golf Course, Trustees of Potter Pond <br />Trust, Paul W. Boyd and F. William Smith - variances to allow for the construction <br />and use of nine four -car garages and a variance of dimensional controls to allow <br />less than 30 feet between buildings (2 garages) and also a revision of the SP granted <br />by the Board for the construction of Potter Pond Development on 2%14/80, so as to <br />allow for the above variances. <br />544 Lowell St., C.D. Hoogendoorn - special permit to operate a commercial greenhouse, <br />currently owned and operated by Lexington Gardens, Inc. Mr. Hoogendoorn intends to <br />grow plants for wholesale business only. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk and other action re. above petitions. <br />536 Mass. Ave. - granted unanimously. <br />35 Locust Ave. - granted = 4 to 0 vote,(Wm. C. Hays did not act on this petition.) <br />32 Hill St. - granted (vote 4 to 1 - Hays in opposition). <br />96 Bow St. - granted unanimously. <br />Potter Pond - request to postpone hearing granted. <br />544 Lowell St. - withdrawn by Petitioner. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:42 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Evelyn F.
