BOARD OF APPEALS <br />' March 22, 1979 <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's meeting room <br />beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth <br />Ruth Morey <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Woodruff M. Brodhead <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. <br />176 Burlington Street, Clark W. Bryan - variance of dimensional controls in order <br />to construct a garage foundation and a full foundation for a breezeway. <br />126 Cedar Street, Albert L. DeAngelis - variance of dimensional controls in order <br />to construct an addition (one-story with full basement). <br />Piper Road, Roy C. Peterson - variance to permit construction of a single family <br />dwelling and attached garage on a lot with insufficient frontage being part of <br />Lot C shown on a plan submitted containing 37,325 sq. ft. and frontage on Piper <br />Road of 100.21 ft. instead of the required 150 ft. The required frontage having <br />been reduced by the alteration of Route 2 (Cambridge Concord Highway) by the <br />' Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1961. <br />748 Waltham Street, Manuel G. Rose, Jr. - renewal of the special permit to allow <br />for the continuation of the operation of a shop for light repairs to vehicles <br />and ornamental welding. <br />1844 Massachusetts Avenue, Arthur F. Douglass, Trustee, Almarjo Realty Trust - <br />special permit and variance in connection with certain alterations and additions <br />to the existing building as follows: <br />1. SP for restaurant use in the basement and driveway. <br />2. Variance to use the driveway, which is part of the sideyard setback <br />required by zoning, for an outdoor dining area which would be enclosed <br />by canvas canopy and decorative railing and an outdoor stair access to <br />the basement. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />176 Burlington St. - Board denied request for 11 ft. side yard, but <br />unanimously voted to allow 13 ft. side yard. <br />126 Cedar St. - unanimously granted. <br />Piper Rd. - unanimously denied. <br />748 Waltham St. - granted with conditions (expires 3/31/80) <br />1844 Mass. Ave. - petitioner WITHDREW application by letter stating "an unforeseen <br />development." <br />I <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:10 p.m. <br />NOTE: 4/1/80 Board of Selectmen voted to Respect submitted,_ <br />V � <br />accept resignation of Robert A.
