BOARD OF APPEALS <br />June 1, 1978 <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting, beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Ruth Morey <br />Thomas G. Taylor. <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Natalie H. Riffin, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. <br />307 Wood Street, James V. Cosgrove - renewal of special permit to continue to <br />operate a roadside stand for the purpose of selling poultry, eggs, plants, produce <br />and wood and also Christmas trees andwreaths in season. ALSO requested was a <br />special permit for a seasonal two-faced sign (3'x3') placed between two posts, <br />located 20' back from and perpendicular to Hartwell Avenue. Sign would be in <br />place between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and will be removed when stand is not in operation. <br />60 Westview Street, R & W Realty Trust — special permit to construct a solvent <br />storage building, which will be owned and maintained by the United States Government. <br />15 Oxford Street, Robert P. Duff - variance to construct an addition (241x18') to <br />a nom -conforming house, which has a setback of 4'. New addition will set back 12'. <br />93 Hancock St., Lexington Gardens, Inc. — special permit to expand the list of <br />supplementary items as listed in subsection 24.5, paragraph 1, to include the <br />sale of Christmas related items (listed separately). Product expansion would not <br />require expansion of present facility. Allocation of space for present product mix <br />would be adjusted to accommodate the new product line. Exact location is specified <br />on a plan. Time frame for sale of the new items is Oct. 15 through Jan. 15. No <br />expansion of business hours is requested for sale of said items. Store hours will <br />remain the same as provided for in SP dated 12/22/77. <br />Hartwell Avenue, Kiln Brook Office Park, David E. Gompers - continued hearing. <br />Hearing held 3/23/78 and continued to June 1, 1978 for final decision. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />307 Wood St. - both requests granted unanimously with conditions (2 years). <br />60 Westview St. - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />15 Oxford St. - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />93 Hancock St. - denied unanimously. <br />Hartwell Avenue - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />' The meeting adjourned at 11:10 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />v 6 -ex - <br />Evelyn F.
