BOARD OF APPEALS <br />' January 27, 1977 <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, January 27, 1977, <br />beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Ruth Morey, Vice Chairman <br />Woodruff M. Brodhead <br />Robert Cataldo, Associate <br />Robert M. Gary, Associate <br />Pudic hearings were held on the following petitions, notices having been <br />mailed as required by statute and hearings advertised in the newspaper. <br />Brewstets Inc. - special permit under Sections 30.3 and 12.2 and other applic- <br />able sections of the Zoning Bylaw, to allow for the construction of an entrance <br />to the existing building at 903 Waltham Street. The proposed entrance will be <br />approxitiately 5.5 feet by 6 feet and will act as a wind -break at the front door. <br />Also requested is a variance from Section 27 to allow said entrance to have a <br />front yard setback of approximately 22 feet rather than the required 30 feet. <br />The applicator is the owner of the premises. <br />Wilfrid'B. and Mary Veldkamp - variance of the Lexington Zoning Bylaw in order <br />to maintain an existing garage on the premises at 7 Bird Hill Road (formerly <br />numbered 6 Rockville Avenue), with a rear yard setback 19.2 feet from Bird Hill <br />' Road instead of the required 20 feet. <br />John Lord and Karolyn Lord - variance to maintain existing house at 35 Moon <br />Hill Road with 10.1 ft. sideyard instead of the 15 ft. required by Section 27 <br />of the Lexington Zoning Bylaw. <br />Lexington Enterprises, Inc., P.C. Wong, Pres. - special permit under Section <br />25.69, to be granted to Lexington Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Peking Garden Restau- <br />rant use. Petitioner has an agreement with the owners of the premises at 31 <br />WalthamiStreet to purchase the property. The petitioner, after purchasing the <br />propertt, intends to break a portion of the wall between the two buildings and <br />join them together for access to each building. It also intends to add an addi- <br />tional stariway for access to a common basement for both buildings and add a new <br />men's acid a new women's rest room (including facilities for handicapped persons), <br />and also will add new odor minimizing filters to the kitchen exhaust system. <br />The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting. See decisions <br />for details, all in Board of Appeals' files and also filed with the Town Clerk. <br />Brewster's - granted unanimously. <br />Veldka - granted unanimously. <br />Lord - 4ranted unanimously <br />Lexington Enterprises - denied, two in favor, three in opposition. <br />Inlfavor: Woodruff M.
