BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />March 20, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Thursday, <br />March 20, 1975 at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Office <br />Building. Present were three regular members and two associates as follow: <br />Vice Chairman, Acting Chairman George P. Wadsworth; regular members: Woodruff <br />M. Brodhead; Ruth Morey; and associate members Natalie H. Riffin and Irving H. <br />Mabee. Also present were: a Minute -Man reporter, LWV Observer and a room <br />full of townspeople. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having been <br />mailed to those who should legally receive them and to town boards and offi- <br />cials who will or might be affected by decisions made and also advertised in <br />the Lexington Minute -Man newspaper. <br />James B. Catalano - special permit renewal, pursuant to Section 25.33, to con- <br />tinue operations of retail business of selling flowers, produce and plants <br />grown on the premises at 643 Waltham Street. <br />Herman E. Erikson - variance of Section 27 of the Lexington Zoning By -Law to <br />allow a frontage of 129.36 ft. instead of the required 150 ft. for Lot 5 in <br />the Piper Ridge Subdivision located at the corner of Piper Road and Waltham <br />Street. <br />Jeffrey Bromberg - permission to extend the hours for serving food at the <br />Deli-Shuss at 1841 Massachusetts Avenue, under Board of Appeals special permit, <br />from 8 a.m. through 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through 12 o'clock midnight. <br />Michael R. Fullerton and Denis J. Fullerton, Jr. - special permit, pursuant to <br />Section 25.94, so as to allow for the storage of not more than twenty (20) <br />bicycles in the basement of the property at 2400 Massachusetts Avenue. The <br />bicycles shall be used in connection with a bicycle rental operation to be <br />conducted elsewhere. The petitioners are sons of the owner. <br />Following the hearings the Board made the following decisions, all in <br />public open meeting: <br />Catalano - Granted, subject to the following conditions: <br />1. The premises shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition at all times. <br />2. No flood lights shall be used. <br />3. Sufficient parking space shall be provided so that cars shall not be <br />parked on the street. <br />4. Only one sigh shall be permitted. <br />5. This permit shall expire March 20, 1977. <br />Erikson - Granted, subject to the condition that any requirements of the Board <br />of Health must be met. This permit does not exempt the petitioner from obtain- <br />ing any other permit required by statute and in accordance with State law, <br />before this permit for variance becomes effective, notice that such a permit <br />has been issued must be recorded at the Registry of Deeds by the Petitioner. <br />
