Sheldon (Vice Chairman) read the notice <br />as follows: <br />The Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on the petition of <br />THE 115 KENDALL CORPORATION AND TEKTRONIX, INC. for a site plan review and <br />approval for a special permit pursuant to Section 13 and related subsections <br />of the zoning by-law, and to make a finding and determination that the pro- <br />posed placement of buildings, major topographic changes, provisions for <br />waste disposal, surface and ground water drainage, erosion control, parking <br />areas, loading areas, maneuvering areas, driveways, the location of inter- <br />sections of driveways and streets will constitute a suitable development and <br />will not result in substantial detriment to the neighborhood. The proposed <br />use of the building is office and research and development. The location of <br />the property is at the corner of HARTWELL AVENUE and BEDFORD STREET, contain- <br />ing approximately five acres of land. The hearing will be held TUESDAY, MAY <br />7, 1974 in the Town Office Building at 8:00 P.M. <br />This notice was published in the Lexington Minute -Man and people notified <br />as required by law. <br />Present and acting on this petition were: <br />George C. Sheldon, Acting Chairman <br />George P. Wadsworth <br />Robert M. Gary <br />Haskell W. Reed <br />Robert Cataldo <br />Frederick J. Conroy, Attorney, represented the petitioners, who had pro- <br />vided the following plans: <br />I. Site Plans for Lot 1, by Miller and Nylander, dated 3/25/74 as <br />follows: <br />1. PL -1, showing proposed contours. <br />2. PL -2, showing existing & proposed contours. <br />II. Plans entitled "Proposed Office Building Bedford St. & Hartwell <br />Ave." by Fred Lenox AIA & Associates: <br />1. Elevations, dated March 18, 1974. <br />2. First Floor Plan dated March 12 and 18, 1974. <br />3. Second Floor Plan, dated March 12 and 18, 1974. <br />Two copies of these plans were presented to the Planning Board on March <br />29, 1974 for their recommendations as required under Section 13 of the <br />Lexington zoning by-law. <br />Mr. Conroy explained that the proposed building would be situated on <br />approximately 5 acres, located on the corner of Hartwell Avenue and Bedford <br />Street. The parcel is part of a 13 acre parcel owned by Mr. Michael Colan- <br />gelo of The 115 Kendall Corporation. The 5 acres is under agreement for <br />sale to Tektronix Corp. for construction of the building. <br />
