BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />May 11, 1971 <br />' A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />May 11, 1971 at 7:30 p.m. in the selectmen's meeting room, The Bird Room, <br />Cary Memorial Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members <br />Sheldon, Dawes and Wadsworth and associate member Mrs. Morey. <br />The following petitions were heard: <br />Anthony J. and Mary A. Bonanno - a variance from section 26.51 of the <br />zoning by-law in that the northeasterly sideline of the lot is 13.2 feet <br />from the nearest portion of the building at 58 Sherburne Rd. rather than <br />the required 15 feet. <br />C. Edward Burri - a variance of the zoning by-law to maintain the exist- <br />ing dwelling at 34 Winter Street which has an existing addition with a 25 ft. <br />setback from the front lot line instead of the required 30 ft. <br />Heritage Glass and Mirror Co., Inc. - a variance of the zoning by-law <br />to allow the construction of an addition to the existing building at 311 <br />Marrett Road, leaving a side yard of 16 ft. instead of the required 20 ft. <br />and also to allow 10 parking spaces instead of the required 17 spaces, <br />with a ten ft. wide access way as a perimeter to the east and north side <br />of the lot. <br />Leland S. and Sally E. Hager - a variance of the zoning by-law to <br />allow the construction of a two -car garage at the side of the dwelling at <br />1 Dewey Road, leaving insufficient side yard of 10 feet instead of the <br />required 15 feet. <br />'System Development Corporation - permission to erect and maintain a <br />free standing sign, 4 ft. x 1 ft. on the property located at 40 Hartwell <br />Avenue. <br />Jimmie R. and Cleda K. Johnson - a variance of the zoning by-law to <br />allow the construction of an addition to the existing dwelling and garage <br />at 90 North St. leaving a 13 ft. side yard instead of the required 15 ft. <br />Arthur C. Smith - a variance of the zoning by-law to allow the construc- <br />tion of a roof over the front entry of the existing dwelling at 51 Follen <br />Road (a new addition was not included in the petition!), reducing the front <br />yard setback to 25 ft. instead of the required 30 ft. <br />Following the hearings the Board in private session gave consideration <br />to the subject of the petitions and the following decisions were reached: <br />Anthony J. and Mary Bonanno - granted unanimously. <br />C. Edward Burri - granted unanimously. <br />Heritage Glass and Mirror Co., Inc. - denied. <br />Leland S. and Sally E. Hager - granted unanimously. <br />System Development Corporation - granted unanimously. <br />Jimmie R. and Cleda K. Johnson - granted unanimously. <br />Arthur C.
