BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
' January 13, 1970
A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday,
January 13, 1970, at 7:30 p.m, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building.
Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Sheldon, Wadsworth, Dawes
and Abbott.
The following petitions were heard:
John C. and,Sarah P. Harkness - variance to build a garage to
be located at 34 Moon Hill Road, with a front yard of 20 feet instead
of the required 30 feet and two feet side yard instead of the required
15 feet.
Friendly -lee Cream Corp. - special permission to erect and maintain
a free standing double-faced sign 6 feet x 6 feet (36 sq. ft.) 15 feet
high with low output internal illumination, to be located at 66 Bedford
St.
Domenico Gabriele - permission to continue and maintain a side yard
of 3.8 feet instead of the required 15 feet at 106 Laconia St.
Joseph P. Ke11ey - permission to erect a barn, as shown on plans,
on the property located at 83 Cary Avenue. The building will be used as
a stable and enclosed exercise area for horses.
' Nicole L.-,Anastasy - variance to divide lot at 187 Grove Street
into two (2) lots, both having required frontage and the new proposed
lot having an area of 16,640 sq. ft., more or less, and to maintain a
dwelling on the other lot having an area of 15,524 sq. ft.
Following the hearings, an executive session was held during which
the following decisions were made:
John C. and Sarah P. Harkness - granted.
Friendly Ice Cream Corp. - granted - smaller sign 4' x 3'
Domenico Gabriele - granted, with attempt to purchase some land.to be made.
Joseph P. Kelley - granted.
Nicolo L. Anastasy - denied.
It was also voted at this meeting that Donald E. Nickerson continue
as chairman and Charles T. Abbott will continue as vice chairman for the
year of 1970.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
